Re: VIBRANT HIGH STREET
Joanne, Every post you you make is negative. The first line of my post was 'create a culture of ideas and innovation and support it and great things will happen'. Yet. Every incentive you rally against. 1. the pop ups in sydenham were not a failure. You dont understand pop ups. You cant just go to ...

Re: VIBRANT HIGH STREET
Create a culture of innovation and ideas, support it and great things will happen. This is partly why the West Norwood Feast is so good for the area. It has led to this: http://www.jumbletrail.com/event/Se27feast People are expanding on the Feast by having a massive jumble sale by hosting tables ou...

Re: Lewisham budget challenge
HB - I too would be interested too to know you think LB Lewisham is rotten to the core. I'd agree that its CEO is over paid, and I can't see that being part time is going to inspire people working for him; leadership needs commitment. But to say it's rotten to the core I think you should have some ...

Re: Lewisham budget challenge
U It's all too easy for Council leaders to blame Central Government. But Lewisham is rotten to the core. Perhaps the following link might contain some data that could help with the budget challenge (£115,000 p.a for a 3 day week anyone?). http://www.lewisham.gov.uk/mayorandcouncil/aboutthecouncil/ho...

Re: Sydenham Artisan Market - 2nd Saturday of the month
Only a tiny amount of the money went to Feast, which was for graphic design and signage, both of which SEE3 have the money for and don't seem to be spending it. The 1.5 million mostly went on paving, business support, shops fronts, networking events. I was involved in this, working with Lambeth. I ...

Re: Playgrounds
Mayow park playground has a good " toddler" section. Home Park is not bad either. I have to agree with Lee re the Friends of Mayow Park. I'm not aware of the Home Park Group but from what Lee says it sounds like they are as good too. Re funding, I think I heard that some has been procured ...

What does WDYTYA mean?Eagle wrote:Hello Gerry
I enjoyed your WDYTYA . One of the best.
OK may not be the best road in Sydenham . Not sure where is.
Unenforceable fines . Interesting .
It is indeed great to look after ones road and be proud of it . I agree.

Ye gods. Perhaps someone with more patience than me can dig up the gazillions of posts already made on this topic in the past (and specifically about The Dolphin - I'm almost positive Eagle already knew about these signs and commented about them on this very forum before). Let's not do this again, ...

Re: Billings: Fresh never frozen?
Whenever I have had a query re their meat or fish they have been very helpful and open and also willing to listen so having a chat with them as Smiffy suggests is worth it - they do listen, are open to suggestions and keen to meet customer needs. Maybe mention to them the comparison to Lidl ....?
