The New Look Forum

Post by Dom Johnston » 4 Jan 2019 08:22

Just wanted to start a thread to say about how great the new look is. I think it's much fresher than the previous grey on grey, which just reminded me of the old Twix adverts with Norm, "Grey will never go out of fashion because it's never been in fashion!".

What do other people think?

Well done to all involved to make the changes as well as those who attended the initial meeting to get plans in place!

Personally I find the shade of yellow used in the banners a little jarring....maybe tone it down?

Everybody likes change, so long as everything stays the same! I guess I'll get used to it.

I’ve posted a more detailed response in the Asylum, but yes, the header and a few other small details need finessing, in my opinion. I don’t know how much flexibility there is in the forum software, but these are all things that I’ve been able to implement easily on my own website.

Quote from me on from STF Meeting thread.
Just encountered the new forum style.

Looks good.

Congrats to Dom for organising the meeting, those who attended and to Stuart who arranged the actual changes.

Generally looks fine and improved. Tone down the yellow top banner maybe?
