SE26 Magazine Launches
Angela Burgess' dream hit my doormat early Saturday
morning. Sydenham's first glossy mag is up and running. Distributed free to
many homes and available for Shops & Sydenham Library SE26 Magazine is an
act of faith in Sydenham's future.
Stablemate to SE21 (Dulwich Village) and SE22 (East
Dulwich) Magazines is this another indicator of Sydenham's creeping
gentrification? Or a way to way to bring news and comment to an area which has
no free newspaper of its own?
It is worth getting for spread on the Sydenham Garden
Society alone. This innovative project to restore a nature reseve, Victorian
greenhouse and garden. More importantly to be a theraputic and creative
opportunity for Sydenham people with Health problems to both learn, enjoy and
give something back to the local community.
