Re: Cobbs Corner Roundabout

My wife just came back from the gym and noticed that both the pedestrian crossings near the roundabout (by LA Fitness and the bridge) were not in use. Is the council going to wait until someone gets hurt to realise that pedestrian crossings are necessary? As usual, vehicular traffic seems to have be...

Re: Transport Links

Roisinhynes5, at the end we have found out a local minicab is the best option. Takes you there from home, and brings you home back from the airport. At the end of the day you pay a bit more for the comfort, but it is worth it if you just want to get there or get home without hassle. [ Post made via ...

Re: Does anyone else struggle with Wells Park Doctors?

I have tried walk-in clinics with success. There is one in New Cross... But I agree the system has to change. It does not work for people, even if it works for the GPs.

Re: 3 MOBILE PHONE SIGNAL IN SYDENHAM

We've been having real problems with Vodafone this last week or two Same here. I have called twice and they say there is a fault, but don't know when it will be fixed. Offered to deduct lost signal time from my bill, though. Same thing has been happening with BT Internet connection. They promised -...

Fantastic, Tim! You probably had a late night Wednesday. Now you should add the pictures of the British, European and American government officials who have had their pictures taken with all these and other rulers. And do not forget Mubarak... But is hard to argue with someone who is not prepared to...

Tim, I hate to insist. There were international observers in each election. Jimmy Carter was one of them... http://www.cartercenter.org/news/publications/election_reports.html#venezuela These were others: http://venezuelanalysis.com/news/4219 http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?...

All good points Chris, I'm sure - I'll leave it to any Lib Dems or Tories who might be out there to contest them. But in the meantime, how come your colleague Mike Harris http://www.lewishamlabour.co.uk/uploads/2/7/4/6/2746536/2947262.jpg?178 who fought with beasts in Belarus is now campaigning for...

Welcome. I have lived in LG since this century began, and I could not be happier. It is quiet, close to overground and train stations, with buses running to central London AND Croydon, and it has a nice Residents' Association. Also, there are plenty of shops, big(ish) and small. The only thing we la...

I've been to Foxie's, and it is a nice place, bright and clean and comfortable. Yes, the average age dropped a bit when I went in, but I don't think it is a problem.

The former Woodman is being refurbished and will open soon. The guy working there did not know exactly when, though.

It was never Mexican food. What they had was Tex-Mex, which is most of the time food covered with melted cheese... I went there once and could not leave fast enough. One hopes that the Italian food will be better.
