Re: Road *!@!! works!

Its not silly at all. With approx 7500 buses operating in London how are the bus Co. expected to know if the vehicle is one of theirs if you don't give them the number. Taking down a vehicle reg. no. is a basic function of anyone witnessing an incident on the roads.

Reg O'Neil

Sam. So sorry to read your post. I tried to ring him this morning to thank him for my birthday card and gift but no reply. Now I know why. Will try to speak to your Mum tonight but meanwhile do make sure that Reg knows we are all thinking of him and wishing him a speedy recovery. Bob.

The chip dispensing machine by the shops in Newlands Park was called a Fritomatic and was made in Holland. My son, Clive, aged six was featured in the local paper in late 1969 buying chips from the machine. This was particularly appropriate as I had recently changed my job to one involving the promo...

As someone who has driven very high HGVs and double decker buses I believe there is no excuse for drivers to hit low bridges. All the bridges have their height clearly shown and drivers should know the height of their vehicle which in most cases will also be shown in the cab. Having said that isn't ...

176

I think you may well find that the curtailment of the 176 route is permanent as TfL intend to reduce Oxford St. bus traffic by 10% this year and a further 10% next year.
