Apologies to all if I've said or done something wrong. As I said at the beginning I like the idea of different Pubs/Gastropubs,etc. I haven't slagged off the Dolphin at all, just saying its not for me. I've never noticed the "Tumbleweed" in The Lion, nor it being "Empty" on a Fri...

Next time I'm in The Dolphin I'll ask people why they like a pub with Tables and chairs that don't match, and why they like the old "spit on the floor" wood !

(Its a joke U !!).

I had very similar problems during the Mid 90's when living in Inchmery Road, Catford. We lived in a converted house and lived on the ground floor. The kids upstairs would be running about at 3am screaming, etc. Ask the neighbour politely to try and keep the kids quite...... About 6 months later I w...

Copper Beech Tree

Just like to Thank Tim in writing for helping find out why a lovely old tree was taken without any prior warning. I must admit I (& many others) are getting alittle peeved with Lewisham Council, and the way they think they can do what they want, when they want. I've always been a Leftie/Socialis...

Morning. Sorry if that came over abit abusive: Not intended, honestly. As regards the 5 flats in 97, 3 are Council owned, 1 is in the process of " Right to buy" and I've got a 15 year mortgage (into the 10th year) on mine. As I said, I saw the workmen at 8am that morning and they said they...

Tim: Not really sure what "TPO" is, but when asked by myself & neighbours the workmen said they "worked for Lewisham Council". Not sure what you're "accusing" me of: We had a tree in the garden, its not there anymore. Unless there are some people going round with 3 ...

Yes that was the one:
As i said, I,m not expert, but I'm pretty sure it was okay.....
Also, an aside, the mess they left in the garden was awful:
I know its impossible to clean up all the sawdust, but getting home yesterday it looked like it had snowed (before it Did snow).

So glad you enjoyed it, MOG-ish. Are you in any of the photos in the blog:http://mayowpark.wordpress.com/ I can't stand Tree-theft. Was it dying or something? Pretty sure it wasn't: Had nests in there until recently and looked okay to others I spoke to today. Not in any of the photos: I was the guy...

Was there, thought it was anice do,especially with the Rabbi explaining the "70" years, etc. Got home from work today and found our tree outside 95/97 Mayow Road gone. No warning to us leaseholders, just Gone. Less than 100yards between the 2 trees. LewishamCouncil: The Mayor hiding in his...

Jeez ulysses. I haven't critised the Dolphin,I've apologised for mentioning what I heard, yet you're taking it like you have shares in The Dolphin. All I did was ask if anyone knew whether what I heard was true. Yet you come on here critising, basically me and all things Golden Lion. So you don't lik...

I was in there on Friday night and it was packed to the rafters. The busiest I have ever seen it! No free seats at all at 8pm, lots standing.... Whether it was just a case of people not venturing far or getting back to Sydders early from work because of the weather I don't know.... Where was this o...

Dolphin.

I'm sorry if I've opened "a can of worms" on here, but, probably unwisely, I was just sharing what I over heard in the Golden Lion: It wasnt from "the other side of the bar", rather this side, and it was from a regular of both pubs. Personally I find the Golden Lion type of publi...
