The reason I'm considering LAF is it's only a 5 minute walk away for me, so I'd use it several times a week. I'd probably only manage once a week (as I do now) if it was any further!

Having never even considered joining a gym before now, I'm completely ignorant of whether membership rates are negotiable or only as published.

LA Fitness say they are putting up their rates after tomorrow, due to the recent refurbishment, so I probably will join tomorrow anyway...

If you or anyone else is still looking for a good Chinese, in the 9 years we've lived in SE23, SE22 & SE26, we've found Wok Express to be the best. There's the original one in Forest Hill & a branch in Penge - each as good as the other, and both deliver to Sydenham.

I'd like to get my back door replaced by someone reputable and reasonably priced. I'd be greatful for any recommendations. We got our back door from the shop opposite Penge Police Station. Don't know what Merry Maids charge these days. Think we used to use Merry Maids or Molly Maid (forget which) Brixton years ago, but not for long, as had a bad experience with them. Have you tried Selclene (8698 6953)? probably not any cheaper, as it's £9.15/hr (£6 direct to cleaner, rest to agency)....
