Re: Crystal Palace stadium re-development?

So wannabe-succinct alib that one needs a clairvoyant to make any sense if there is any re at whom it's intended. ==== I don't need your 'lesson' in economics Jeeby, been in private business a very long time. Re: Crystal Palace stadium re-development?

I realise fully, utterly and completely that unlimited liability companies are few and far between. Doesn't make me agree that a limited liability private company is the best choice of developer for this scheme on public land (especially as we are discussing it without seeing the full plan, where's ...

Re: Crystal Palace stadium re-development?

I do not see that I have been impolite in any way, and if I have upset your obvious sensibilities HD Im very very sorry. Do you have admin status now to tell me to " Push off". I really dont see what I have said that is impolite ? I have lived in Sydenham for 25 years, use the Park, and a...

Re: Crystal Palace stadium re-development?

Keep it polite eh? OR push off back to facebook. In a limited liability situation each co-owner is only liable for their share of debts (which I suppose is pro-rated with their stake). Given that this consortium comprises people whose other holdings will benefit from the income CPFCLtd can put their...

Re: Crystal Palace stadium re-development?

erm .... an unlimited liability one, where its owners also own the responsibility for ALL the debts they incur.

From what I've read it's a recent change of status, under the present co-chairs.

It makes the risks of this 'plan' utterly inappropriate on PUBLIC land.

Re: Crystal Palace stadium re-development?

Oh quite a coincidence Commander :) I just read this from Jan last year ................. “The biggest asset a football club has is the land the stadium’s on,” says Parish. “In an ideal world, we’d build a purpose-built stadium right now, and there’s a couple of interesting options available elsewhe...

As posted earlier, this except from the link says it all : "We never wanted to buy it but you don't let your club go out of business," says Parish. http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard- ... -palace.do Not unless you and your fellow consortium members can all see it boosting all your own ...

Re: Crystal Palace stadium re-development?

Yep, by 'Croydon' I meant the council and any private/semi-private HAs that it needs to rely on. I've not seen any mention that Selhurst is a legitimate cash cow but that doesn't make it unlikely that it will be over-paid for. Croydon council leaders have wished the consortium well, they have their ...

Re: Crystal Palace stadium re-development?

Not sure how Bromley came to be wholly responsible for CPP, that seems to be the big problem in all this ...... as well as the likelihood that Croydon could pay CPFCLtd's new owners (too?) handsomely for the site for housing.

Re: Crystal Palace stadium re-development?

Parks don't need DEVELOPMENT, parks are for leisure and air and enjoyment of anything other than exploitative business people's self-interest. I suggest you find out what purposes the park was actually built FOR, how the amateur footie team even came in to being and realise that their borrowing of t...

Re: Urbexing Possibilities in Sydenham

Sorry for misleading, there were two stations in Crystal Palace, one under the old 'palace' :( itself and that's closed. The other is quite an elegant station, very high and still in use. You could look at the very long / old thread about the area itself, crammed with people much more informed than ...

Re: Urbexing Possibilities in Sydenham

Hi Seifer, thanks for the update. I like the 'hit da brix' in my link  some things are just so daft. Enjoy the tunnels, we have a mile-long one that's still in use as well as the redundant one underneath the woods. I doubt you could enter the one from Crystal Palace Stn as that's also still in ...

Re: Greyhound to be run by owners of East Dulwich Tavern, et

Glad to see the article in the OP link refer to 'Cobb's Corner' as opposed to 'Kirkdale Corner' as announced on buses' PA systems now. Naturally  I never saw the old dept store but it was certainly a lovely building (stressing the 'was') http://sydenhamforesthillhistory.blogspot.com/2009/01/co...

Do you have an idea how long between a 999 call and their attendance then?

Dartmouth Rd is still open, as a shop-hours station now.

Hope this incident wasn't between really young chaps as the last few have been.
