Re: Half-term activities
Grow Mayow is a brilliant place. On other days this week there's the stay and play at the old Crystal Palace Park one o'clock club (10-1 and 2-4 I think the times are). Also the Imagine children's festival is on this week at the festival hall - there's quite a lot of free, unticketed stuff in the Cl...

Re: Big Fish Little Fish - Family Rave in Brixton
It was great to see Mazzer and the other lady from the forum (who I recognised because her little girl played with mine in Baxter's Fields). I really hope you had fun and hope to see you again. Next party is Feb 15th and the DJs are Mark Force (Bugz in the Attic) and Joe Muggs (Mixmag). Again, we've...

I can't believe people are slagging off SydSoc over the Greyhound.
It was never in the plans that the pub would go. Pure Lake illegally demolished the pub against the agreed planning application.

Nipper out n about 360 double pushchair for sale
Bought for £400 from Baby Nest in Croydon inc raincover - extras I bought myself are newborn headhugger (£10) and shopping basket (can't remember the price). I bought it last May and probably haven't used it since Oct so it is in great condition. It's very lightweight and easy to push - narrower tha...

Update on Wooster and Stock's attempts to build a house in the garden of the Woodman - The original plans were refused by both the council and their appeal to the Planning Inspectorate. They have just resubmitted some amended plans to Lewisham which can be seen here: http://acolnet.lewisham.gov.uk/L...

Re: kelvin grove school and their staff parking
On a slight tangent - there are a lot of illegally parked cars at hometime - bottom of Kelvin Grove, all round the gate to the old Adult Education institute and cars parked right up to the end of Fransfield and on the wide bit of pavement before Costcutter which makes it very difficult to safely man...

Members of F H Pools - check your bank statements
Apparently a number of members have been charged twice this month. I overheard a member of staff talking to a customer this had happened to - he blamed a glitch at head office. He did say all the payments would be refunded and any bank charges incurred paid as well. I don't know if that is au...

Re: List of drop-in playgroups in the area
Eliot Bank and Kelvin Grove childrens centres timetables have changed completely now. Unfortunately I lost my copy but they've come under the control of the schools rather than Sure Start. When I get another one I'll post what's on but the 'dance to the beat' group no longer runs.
