There has also been a burglary off Lawrie Park Gardens - it was a female who entered through the back door. I believe there was another in the Lawrie Park triangle near to Border Rd (a total of three in this area). Lewisham Police are aware of these incidents.

Does anyone know of any rentable accommodation in or near Sydenham that is likely to be available during Christmas? Preferably a one or two bedroom apartment, available to rent for 3-4 days? Yes - we would definitely use the pub. We've been waiting with anticipation for a while and I think it can make a huge impact. If it has a decent range of food and drinks that aren't overpriced, it will be a great pub to visit as a local, for Sunday roast, a drink on Fri or Sat night or a quick pint...

I don't think a Weatherspoon would do any favours for the area - no atmosphere, bland food, cheap booze early in the morning. I'm surprised it get's so much support.
