my post was in response to an attack on me by another poster. You have reproduced it out of context and without the accompanying text. It was made very clear, by suggestion, in the post to which I responded the nature of the poster concerned. If the poster did not mean to imply that then perhaps tha...

Harder than it sounds admin. If you try to contact Trading Standards you are diverted to a government agency, claiming to be regional, which insists it must have details of your complaint and then it will decide whether your complaint should be referred to your local Trading Standards office (despit...

I simply made an enquiry. They were very quick to make it clear they were not interested in anything small-scale. I am sure they will attend if they have first carried out a major installation at your property. Most people are in the position of requiring a simple repair to an existing one, probably...

and there we have it.... It is clear there is a concensus. There is need of places for people who prefer not to be deafed or gassed by the toxic fumes from cigarettes and other noxious devices (whose names we dare not mention) and who prefer not to soil their clothes on the furniture. I reckon a pia...

Sydenham is full of nulls when it comes to mobile phones. All the companies have been promising to sort the problems out for decades.... I rather fancy the problems have more to do with the 400 MegaWatt transmitter at the top of the hill.... although I would not rule out incompetence on the part of ...

Surely, if we are to accept the economists' version of class then middle class should be middle income earners. i.e. (say) average earnings +/- 15% or thereabouts. Class has nothing to do with income. It is about taste and style. It is not about education (private or state) but a good education help...

Nasaroc I have not laid into the police. I realise, now, you clearly are a Police Officer and seek to defend your beleaguered service on here. I simply stated some facts as I had witnessed them. I did so without comment. Since you attacked me here goes then: I was burgled. £28,000 worth of damage wa...

The last time I checked the trains stopped running early evening. On checking I find they have extended the service but the last train from Victoria is still early (23:05) I do feel, however, we would be better served by the more direct route via Tulse Hill, Clapham, Battersea rather than the detour...

Hello. I registered because this thread interests me and I have a question for Lenduvall. He says the reason the new ELL cannot be extended to Victoria is a matter of capacity. The BR service between Sydenham and Victoria runs only during the busiest times of day. It stops when there is minimal cong...
