Re: Licence application for gambling……
If there are times it is unmanned, how is an age verification being completed? What is to stop a 15 year old going in?

Re: Chaos at Crystal Palace Park Road roadworks
The sense of entitlement some people have that think their needs override anything else and park how and where they like really grinds my gears. To add insult to injury with the 5 month roadworks, there is now a lane closed at the top of Anerley Hill towards Crystal Palace, so those coming up the ot...

South Circular possibly re-routed
Not quite Sydenham but as many of us use the South Circular I thought this may be of interest.

Whilst I love a good coffee (Hello Mr Hazlenut Flat White, My light, My Life, My only reason for living) there are plenty of places already so not sure why Starbucks chose Sydenham to be honest.

Re: No East Croydon/Sydenham/London Bridge rail service as of September?
I read this on Facebook last week. It's great the loop is back, but no service to East Croydon is ridiculous considering its the hub to Gatwick and the coast. Changing at Norwood Junction is not much of a hassle but its just another connection and another wait if you are going further on... Train to...

Re: The Dolphin - Listed in Top 5 Pub Beer Gardens
I remember when I first went to visit a new potential flat in Sydenham and I liked it, so I signed the papers there and then... and wandered down to The Dolphin and had a celebratory pint in their beer garden, it was beautiful.

Re: Its not over
Surely your not advocating another lockdown? I don't think the public have the appetite for that. Sure, cases are high (although coming down) but this has not been replicated in deaths or hospital admissions. I'm not advocating a lock down, but the relaxing of masks, the removal of free covid tests...

Re: Its not over
I was just discussing this the other day. I currently know 8 people with Covid... that's more than at any time during the pandemic. Sorry to hear that. The lifting of restrictions to distract from partygate is the most malicious act of self interest Ive seen in a government. Actually charging for t...

Re: Armed Criminality in Sydenham - Again
It seems that branch is permanently closed now. So the Nat West is the only bank in Sydenham now. There has been a debate about financial exclusion recently, shutting down all the bank branches seems to going that way. Wonder what the building will become? Good location opposite the station. Banks ...

Re: Masks (again!)
I still intend to wear masks in closed spaces like shops etc, I think it's common sense at this point. Also, I've not had a cough or cold since this pandemic began and masks were mandatory, so it's win/win.
Re: Mail
I saw on the Sydenham facebook group that someone spoke to their postman and he said a lot were off either with covid or connections to people with covid so they are a bit short staffed at the moment. I'm on Anerely Road Penge and have been getting post this week. That's because you're in SE20. You...
