I thought you could already be fined for not picking up your dogs mess and that doesn't stop the streets in Sydenham being awash with it. If there are no wardens to enforce these rules then it's a waste of time.

I've been to all the pubs on Sydenahm road in the interests of research and can honestly say the Two Half's is up there in the worst pub in Britain category just because it has no redeeming qualities at all. At least the Railway has some atmosphere and some characters

I don't have the time to go down there as I suspect is the case for a lot of people, Sydenham is after all a busy commuter area.

The tatooed face man drinks in all the pubs in the high street, I've seen him in both the Dolphin and the Golden Lion, maybe he does a one man pub crawl from one end to the other before going to the station and commuting home on the train for his dinner.

I moved to Sydenham in May 2007 and as far as I can recall the only time without roadworks was about 3 days last Christmas.

What a waste of time the oyster gates are! They are either left open most of the time or one of the staff stands next to the wide gate constantly swiping his card on it to let people through, isn't the point to get people to pay their fare?

I can't say I've tried that variety but I can heartilt recommend Villagers Fine Sausages in Beckenham, my current favourite are the Mrs Carriggs, great on a BBQ or "in the hole"

Well if the Railway mentioned is the one by Sydenham station then I reckon these figures are total rubbish or the criteria are plain wrong, how can the run down, sticky carpeted Railway score better than the Dolphin?
