Well I've been a member for 18 months now and I have just cancelled my membership for a number of reasons: 1) it's too small 2) the mens changing rooms stink 3) a lot of the lockers are broken 4) there are not enough machines for the number of members they have 5) one of the tvs has been broken for ...

Rough Sleepers

Has anyone else noticed that there seems to be a group of people living in the shelter by the bowls club hedge in Alexandria Recreation Ground?

Seats on trains

I'm starting a new job this Wednesday that requires me to commute into London Bridge each morning so I was wondering which train is most likely to have available seats: 7:40, 7:45, 7:53, or 7:57?

I have a fox repeller in my garden which has been working great for months...until the other day when I noticed a fox sitting right in front of it!

Apparently they work most of the time but some foxes try and front it out (well it is South London  ), they also don't work if the fox is deaf!

Cops With Cameras

Anyone see this last night? There was a bit based in Sydenham involving a mugging outside the chicken shop by the Windmill. The perpetrators were arrested down by the garage (strangely heading back towards the scene of the crime which is maybe a reflection on their intelligence). One of them was eve...

I'm not sure about that Willy. But if that is the case lets have that system for ever! Hmm, not sure that's such a good idea! It's difficult to remember what the traffic should be like as the roadworks seem to have been going on forever. It sort of worries me that after Thames Water have finished d...

I think it's because the traffic is one way on Kirkdale (coming into Sydenham) and one way on Westwood Hill (leaving Sydenham) so we are not seeing all the traffic backed up waiting for traffic lights to get past the roadworks.

Roadworks

This may have been discussed before but why the hell did the council allow both Kirkdale and Westwood Hill to be dug up at the same time?

I'm also in need of a plumber, I have a leaking shower tap plus something wrong with the water intake valve for the washing machine, makes a high pitched noise that is driving me mad.

Last year I was enjoying the 1 day of sunshine we had in CP park when I spotted a man stripping off to his underwear and proceed to do press-ups and star jumps - very unsettling. I think BBQs are much more preferable.

I'm assuming you wash your pots, pans, etc, so just wash up the caddy at the same time.

The other point to consider is that the corn starch bags are not the answer, they leak water/liquid pretty quickly so you would still have to wash out the caddy.

maybe I'm missing something but why do you need bags? Can't you carry the kitchen caddy outside to the food watse bin and empty it? The whole point of this is to be more environmentally friendly and adding to pollution by wasting energy to produce a bag solely to throw food away is crazy.
