He then took off with a jerk then braked sharply causing the toddler to fall and bang her head. Buses are difficult to take off with a jerk since they are deliberately made to take off smoothly through the gears and as for braking sharply maybe this was necessary to avoid an accident. With regards ...

I use buses fairly regularly and the only time I have ever seen abuse is when a DRIVER abused a passenger. Regularly at what time of day ? Maybe you should get on a few buses between the times of 10pm and 1am Friday and Saturday nights, you'll see a different world, a world where people just walk s...

Savvy: There is no way a bus driver would allow 5 buggies onto a bus. Why did the driver let them on? Probably because he was too stupid to bother. Maybe he/she never wanted to be:- 1) Shouted at 2) Sworn at 3) Spat at Or just verbally abused! Maybe he/she never realised how many buggies they alrea...

Re: Withdrawal of the N75
I had to pay £17 for a cab home and I am a pensioner. I've not used cabs for ages but when I did they were usually £6.00 from Croydon to Sydenham so why did you pay almost 3 times that ? It was maybe 10 yrs ago so are these the prices now ? I sat outside Fairfield Halls for over an hour before some...

The bus carried on with its route anyway, why dump passengers if you are still going that way? The bus would need to make up time, using Westwood Hill rather than Kirkdale saves valuable time. The passengers at cp arent my problem, they also have several other choices of bus,i didnt. No but it's also...

but it does seem a shame that we have so many visitors to the site, but not very many people posting their opinions. I've been using the Internet since 1996 and read this site for at least a year, I don't post too much as learned pretty quickly since 1996 everyone has a view/opinion and therefore r...

Anyway ...2 x 202's pulled into the Bus Station only to turn their lights off and put up their 'out of service' on and drive back down CP Parade. The next 202 was some 30 minutes away and it was really, really pouring with rain. I wasn't in a rush or the like but it was only roughly 7.30 in the eve...

Dedicated school buses are a brilliant idea - while there's much to criticise about the US, the yellow school bus is a winner! Not so long ago there was talk of introducing them in the UK - I wonder what happened? As others have said, they would mitigate the effects of the school run (thus cutting ...

My guess is that permission would have to be gained from the Dulwich Estate and then there's the toll. Yes, the toll would be a huge problem, it would need to be widened to allow a bus through for a start, you should contact TFL and have a moan  I can't see why there is not one when one is ne...
