Re: Sticky: NEW! Events calendar

I couldn't agree more. The meeting was organised by Lewisham, who failed to notify more than a handful of very recent commenters, at extremely short notice. The date was fixed a week before, but the developers declined to post notices provided by Lewisham for their neighbours, although it was public...

Re: OLSPN: Urgent deadline for comments on St Philip Neri school redevelopment

Planning are processing comments first thing Monday, which is the deadline. Comments should be in by 9am Monday, to be sure of consideration. However, if you miss this deadline, it is still worth sending a comment in, as Lewisham may be lenient, given the problems with the planning portal. No guaran...

Re: OLSPN: Urgent deadline for comments on St Philip Neri school redevelopment

The old school buildings are supposed to have had asbestos within the structure, and no documentation of its safe removal has been registered, as required by planning. Yes, a school was already operating on site, but the redevelopment has involved deep excavations and major earth movements, undertak...

Re: OLSPN: Urgent deadline for comments on St Philip Neri school redevelopment

Historical fact. Check it out. Condition of development was an ordnance expert to supervise at the excavation phase. Feel free to check the paperwork before scoffing.

OLSPN: contamination concerns https://se26.life/uploads/default/original/2X/3/33a1e3dcc0599ef78356ffe6dfc0c42050de10c2.jpeg The OLSPN school redevelopment applicants have continually refused to submit correct paperwork, or to respond to council officers’ requests. Particularly worrying is the lack ...

Re: OLSPN: Urgent deadline for comments on St Philip Neri school redevelopment

The extent of changes to the roof explains many of the problems with the current building. Roof lights and pitched roofs which allowed natural light and ventilation were abandoned in favour of maximising space. This makes the building dependant on mechanical ventilation and artificial lighting, quit...

Re: OLSPN: Urgent deadline for comments on St Philip Neri school redevelopment

These are the original designs which were given planning permission in 2016, are marked up in blue with as-built changes that the developers need retrospective permission for. They also show some changes they feel might improve the design quality. The whole application is extremely confusing, and ha...

Re: Redevelopment of Mais House, Sydenham Hill

I am totally determined to get more social housing. However, my friend at Hillcrest, the nearby estate, can't get a GP and commutes to one miles away. Very few services, one small shop, community centres all closed, etc etc etc. Young families and the elderly are marooned, unable to access services....

Re: Knighton Park Road

Your concept of parking being 'owned' by house owners leaves tenants with no right to park, nor flat dwellers or social housing tenants. Gosh.

Re: Bakerloo Line Extension

Can I just say that my earlier point about the New Cross Gate interchange onto the Bakerloo line was correct? It is planned as a station alongside platform 1 of the existing station, with direct access between them.

Re: Have a wall that needs/wants art? - possible opportunities!

Maybe an artist could ask the staff at OLSPN whether they could paint the hoarding erected in front of the hall block on Sydenham Road? Anything to cheer the site up would be good.
