Re: St Philip Neri school: Archdiocese appeals planning enforcement order
Jrw - I don’t see any evidence of JGD being offended. Whenever someone questions your activity you seem to consider it as an attack on you rather than your views. You can’t expect to go into this unchallenged. I have previously also asked what you specifically would like to happen with the school an...
Re: Home Park
Thank you for the info, I’ll send an email over. I know in most parks they have removed some swings to help distancing, but having none at all is strange Since there’s plenty of space. I’m surprised they haven’t fixed the little bridge on climbing frame as a few people have reported it and is techni...
Home Park
Still no swings and the climbing frame for toddlers still broken. I have reported it to the council and Glendale soooo many times since playgrounds reopened. I get a ‘we’ll look into it’ response then nothing. Wondering if they have lost the swings or something???

Re: St Philip Neri school: Archdiocese appeals planning enforcement order
I personally do not find JGD’s tone condescending. A swift response and resolution to this is very much needed for the children who go to the school. A long drawn out process means many children will not benefit from a lovely learning space. I have been to all meetings and know that drawing this out...

Re: Broadband connection around Fairlawn Park
We’ve had 3 providers during our time here and never reach anywhere near speeds promised and often cuts out though not for long. When we first moved here BT came to check the line and also said it was fine. And yes, constantly see the BT vans.

Re: Camping in Mayow Park?
I saw some people this time last year - wonder if it’s the same people. The people last year weren’t doing it for fun they were either homeless or travellers.

Re: Planning alert - St Philip Neri school travel plan, last chance to comment
Hi I don’t understand this. The entrance being used is the one in the park. The school have said there are no plans to change this. The school actively discourage parents and children to use the front entrance. I’m a Fairlawn resident and have noticed a welcome reduction in traffic since the entranc...

Re: Halloween/Trick-or-treating
If there’s a pumpkin or Halloween decorations outside the house is usually fair game for trick or treating. When I don’t want any more round I take my pumpkin in

Re: Gunshots?
I heard this. wondered if it was fireworks. I am in Fairlawn park and it sounded as if it was a few streets away. I had just come in from walking down the high street... it was just after 11

Re: High water pressure?
Thanks Mosy, yes I have emailed again. I have had them out since they said they fixed it and they keep saying it will be fine, but the water has started going cold now so will make another visit to them tomorrow. Thames water forced a water meter on me (think everyone will have to have one - fair en...

Re: High water pressure?
I’m no expert but is this why I had to get pro gas out to fix my 3 year old boiler ( expensive)? The pressure gauge was above 2 and pressure valve constantly dripping. Even after “fixing it” the needle still points at 2? It’s a nightmare!

We love the library and a special shout out to Steve who has been doing the summer reading challenge with my kids. I’m sure some of the other volunteers been helping too, but we always get Steve.
