Re: Cat killer

Thanks folks It wasn't my cat but my sympathies with the poor owner - it must be a horrible thing to experience. I've been in contact with South Norwood Small Animal Rescue, who are coordinating & liaising with police, and I shall be leafleting the area to raise awareness. If I get any more info...

Cat killer

I'm sure all you cat people out there will be aware of the Croydon cat killer, who seems to be spreading his wings to surrounding areas. Just to let you know that he (or she) seems to have struck in forest hill last night. I've got no further details as yet but just thought I should let you know. I ...

They've fixed it, more's the pity. We rather liked the quiet nights & state-of-nature parking down here these last few weeks ....

Re: Penge and Lewisham West Hustings: recording

Thank you, Rachel. v interesting and thoughtful of you to post it here. is there any chance you could post labour's statement? no problem if you can't but I'd be interested to know the reason for mr dowd's non attendance.
Thanks

Re: Jim Dowd MP

His partner, fellow mp Janet Anderson claimed London home expenses on the home she shared with j dowd which he already claimed expenses for - or something. that may be what you're thinking of although there are other reasons, imho, that it's time he stepped down

Re: McDonalds drive-in in Lower Sydenham

apologies, parker, nobody told me you were the arbiter of the pointlessness or otherwise of conversations. I thought I was merely reassuring a concerned local that lower sydenham has not experienced a tsunami of antisocial behaviour as a consequence of the new eaterie

Re: McDonalds drive-in in Lower Sydenham

It's fine - I live nearby and no problems at all. It wouldn't have been my first choice of local teenage hangout but when I was 15 we had to make do with the pub - not an option for today's teens

Veggie & vegan cafe

Wandering down the high street today I noticed that, despite a rather fabulous variety of eateries, we don't have anywhere that is specifically veggie or vegan. Would such an establishment (on the lines of the lovely Domali, up at Crystal Palace) be welcomed, or avoided?

Re: Police communications

Surely just following our local cops on twitter is simpler? no need for registering & submitting email addresses & all that jazz. i already follow them &, although their tweets are hardly thrilling, it seems to work just fine for this kind of info

anonymity

yet again, the subject of anonymity of posters has been raised in another topic. it would be helpful, at least for me, to have a definitive, forum-wide "ruling" on this issue. setting aside the practical issues of how a person's "real" identity is to be established, i have no wis...
