Re: Vote For Kirkdale Village Logo

So who's the village idiot? How many of you traders actually live in the village itself? Why didn't you ask the Villagers if they'd like the name?

Re: Transmitter Magazine

I've just seen it http://blog.thetransmitter.co.uk/2011/04/issue-17-is-out.html. It's very good, apart from one thing. That is who decided to rename Upper Sydenham, "Kirkdale"? I thought Kirkdale was the road that went from the station, round the corner past Cobbs Corner and up the hill to...

Re: London Road (Forest Hill) being pedestrianised?

Yup, I saw this in Friday's edition. Couldn't believe it - I think Alex Feakes has been mis-quoted, as he seems like a level-headed guy. It refers to the Forest Hill Society having a pic-nic when it shut this summer. It was a success - let's do it again. Really? sit on a road and eat food in front o...

Re: Has Sydenham still got its funding to regenerate the hig

Overall it's a good site, informative, pretty and fresher. Yes, much better than the old one which was a bit scrappy. The type kept running into the photos and the logo kept disappearing. I guess I still count as one of 'these people', so you'll probably get the same answer. Sorry Tim mate. I didn'...

Have you bought your fish this week?

Billings has been very quiet this week.
Please Sydenham support your local Fishmonger.
Get some swordfish and try their recipe of the week.

I find this quite disresepectful to start at 11am on Rememberence Sunday. Surely an 11.15am start would have been better out of the consideration of our soldiers who died for us.

It's quite shocking that the "usual suspects" can hijack the thread and turn it into an aggressive religious debate.

Who's monitoring it?

Surely you would cut and paste it into the Town Pub at certain point, wouldn't you, admin?
