Re: New leisure contract for Lewisham?

Anyone know if Fusion membership will transfer as is or will there be changes to Ts and Cs - thinking about over 60s access?

Re: Consultation on Proposal to Close Silverdale/Bishopsthorpe Road to traffic

The changes to Bishopsthorpe and Silverdale were envisaged and initial consultations made a long time before Covid. They were always going to be introduced this year for a trial period; plans had been made - seems that Covid has given a general umbrella coverage and additional rationale for these sc...

Re: Consultation on Proposal to Close Silverdale/Bishopsthorpe Road to traffic

The Faqs here suggest these are emergency temporary measures: https://lewishamcovidresidentialstreets.commonplace.is/about An excerpt: Will the Council consider making these measures permanent? It is recognised that there may be an appetite amongst communities for some of the measures that are being...

Re: Camping in Mayow Park?

I've always wondered about where one "moves people on to" if they don't have a permanent base or aren't part of a travelling community. In the past it might not have mattered that much (out of site out of mind) but these days that is not in style. I'm thinking about how these days society demands th...

Here is a list of local suppliers who are offering a delivery services - I'm sure it will change regularly and there will always be firms not on it who are offering deliveries.

They offer a great service - I know I could get cheaper at other places but not the service and pleasure from being served by interested knowledgeable staff. I am more comfortable not treating my vision as a commodity - I prefer a relationship with opticians. It's not about the individual transactio...

Re: PlanningWatch [w/b 16/12/2019] Sydenham Surgery

I have no idea what is planned for this site.

Howevee I know that some Sydenham residents sometimes find themselves homeless and some bailed.

Better that there are local places for them to live in and so avoid displacement from their (our) local community.

Happy Christmas to all.

Re: PFC Penge Food Centre Sydenham Road

I know Amazon are getting into fresh food deliveries and own Whole Foods - but can you now actually get deliveries from PFC using Amazon Prime? I didn't know they had a web presence. If they do that would be amazing. I suppose it would be something similar to how Uber Eats or Deliveroo pick up from ...

Great 'clickbait' title - I thought this would be something from the 1960s rather than the 1660s. A good informative read nevertheless. Thanks.

A valuable reminder that the "ends do not justify the means". Honestly believing in someone's guilt (even if true) doesn't justify the fabrication of evidence.

Taylored Lofts have done similar work work for us recently. They are local, a family firm, and specialise in lofts (as the name suggests) but are also general builders (extensions, new builds etc.). They have good links with planning experts to help that part of the journey. They've been doing lofts...

Re: Live Sydenham Train Departures

Not sure whether I'll actually use this but I live between Sydenham and Sydenham Hill stations and often decide on the fly which one to use - this seems a quick way of assessing what's actually going on at the time. And then making a decision as to travel routes.
