Your chimney

Hello Weeble Judging from what you've said, I think you may be able to do almost the same as the flat below. Normally the flue is offset further back against the wall or in the wall itself. So you may be able to knock down the chimney breast if the flue doesn't protrude. However if it does, it may n...

Your chimney

Hello Weeble Yes that's certainly a tricky one to answer online. From what you have told me I'm a bit confused why it would effect the downstairs flat. If the downstairs flat has knocked away their chimney breast in order to enlarge their room, I don't see any reason why you can't. Can you see behin...

Hello Cal That's good news the council will be taking care of your problem. I would imagine after the council perform their original survey, the work shouldn't take too long. It will probably be completed in a day. To set your mind at ease, I shouldn't think you will suffer the use of scaffolding ar...

Hello Orgone
I just noticed your post by chance.
Can you please explain a bit further the problem?
Is your leakage on a vertical pipe or is it horizontal guttering?
Would you happen to know whether the pipework is cast iron or plastic?
Cheers

Any DIY Problems??? Can I be of Help???

I have quite a broad knowledge in a good few areas....As I'm sure many of you do to. My aim is to offer free advice for those who have any DIY problems. I have good kno...

Hello Forum Members

Thanks for your replies. Have now purchased one from Jessups.
I do miss Kirk's though. My father, also a keen photographer, (35mm) used to take me there as a kid. But I guess, 30 years or so on, things had to change somewhat.

Greenways Maisonettes

Hello
This is my first ever post to this forum. I was urged to contact you to ask the following:
Can anyone explain the history behind the maisonettes at the end of Hall Drive. They are numbered as part of Westow Hill.
Just curious...They look a bit out of place. :?:
Thanks
