Re: Advice for the future!
Don't you find it rather sad that someone would say that to a young child Mike? I do. Are you saying that it's ok or a great example of parenting? I don't. It's interesting how the word 'snob' has changed. Is this snobbery: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JSahEDRjvw&feature=related I take Mike...

Re: New shop at Cobbs Corner
This is a problem with a lot of high streets. Perception and reputation goes a long way. But it's a problem that is ignored. I posted this on my blog about Sydenham Road. Shops used to look proud of themselves. Shop owners would stand outside of of their shops, arms folded with a look of pride on t...

Re: New shop at Cobbs Corner
I urge you to at least shop for DIY, books, meat and fish and vegetables on the High Street. You'll be better off personally and Sydenham will be better off for your custom. rod taylor I totally understand what you are saying rod, but for years I have by-passed Sydenham high street,in fact at one t...

Re: New shop at Cobbs Corner
If it had shops that I would use then I would :D You don't eat fruit and veg? Fish or meat? Bread? Olives? Olive oil? Or read books? Do the odd bit of DIY? etc etc. There are plenty of shops that 'most' people would find produce they desire, they just need to look and use them and stop thinking Syd...

Re: New shop at Cobbs Corner
I thought there was one already? unless its gone since I last shopped in Sydenham. Perhaps you should start again, there are some decent shops, PFC, Fresh n Fruity, Billings etc etc. Support the High Street and it will thrive. Re: New shop at Cobbs Corner
I know a lot of people are against big business, But I would love an Argos,M &S, Decent shoe shop, W.H.S, Wilkinsons (at least they don't look tatty like the £1 shops) and i'm sure I could list more if I sat here long enough!- but at least with the other decent shops we already have, these large...

Re: New shop at Cobbs Corner
The likes of Kirkdale Books, Billings, Wellbeing, Trattoria Raffaele, That's Amore, Alhambra, JH Skincare, Sugahill, Blue Mountain Cafe, and the Dolphin etc all seem to be doing well and appear to be proud of doing business in Sydenham. They do Lee I agree, However they are the best examples of the...

Wondered if anyon...

What bit don't you like? That a page can post in your newsfeed? That's what liking a page is for, so you see their updates. It's just like seeing your friends' updates. As long as you don't make ny information public (in other words, you make everything you post 'friends only by default) then the p...
