Re: The Golden Lion

next day saw the manager buying his food frozen from Lidl. Nothing against Lidl but I'd expect better from a Pub Restaurant. Perhaps it was for personal use? Even pub managers need to eat... This was wholesale purchasing Lidl don't do wholesale, they are a retailer. Do you mean he was buying a lot ...

Re: lets get rid of the islamophobe

Repeat of my post in the town pub, which like a lot of se26 pubs is hardly used. You've not been to the greyhound then.. busy every night. Not really sure what you were trying to achieve with this thread, but to be honest, it reads like either a drunk post or a teenager who's dolls just left the pr...

I love the idea of an escape room, ever since I saw them on The Big Bang Theory, looks like a lot of fun.

Re: sticky:RUMOURS: CINEMA AND NANDOS COMING TO SYDENHAM

When I went past at 7pm they were turning people away as the kitchen was at capacity. That's to be expected when it has just opened, lots of people want to try it out, just like opening night. I picked up a takeaway menu as I only live across the road.... I can feel the weight gain already.... :)

Re: New Barber - Recommendation!

Yup, I got home a bit early so I have been in for a much needed haircut. He really takes pride in his work, very friendly and most of all, it's very clean... a lot of barbers not so much. +1 from me, I will be a regular there from now on rather than the one on Kirkdale by Tesco Express, I usually fi...

Re: New Barber - Recommendation!

Thought I’d try the new small barber located sort of within the shoe repair shop next to shapers/bob’s wines at the station. Just wanted to give a recommendation for the lovely Paris who only opened 10 days ago and gave me a lovely cut, is clearly very knowledgeable and skilled at his craft and mad...

It all re-opened this afternoon which I am sure you all guessed from the lack of traffic jams on our roads :)

Re: Disgusted of Lawrie Park -Thames Water Fiasco

I thought it was closed because of a Sinkhole. There were temp traffic lights at the junction with Lawrie Park Road then the sinkhole happened at the junction with Thicket Road and Crystal Palace Park road at that point was closed. Traffic has been going all the way up from Cobbs Corner to Crystal P...

Re: How Cobbs Corner is changing

The Dolphin's tables are never exactly rammed though, mainly because they've got a large garden out the back, something the Greyhound doesn't have. Indeed, why sit near noisy traffic when their beer garden is fantastic :) I live at Cobbs corner and have done for nearly 6 years now, the change is am...

Re: fake Big Issue seller?

Oh Nigel, you are funny. You almost had me convinced there that you were some kind of Rod Liddle character tilting at windmills in a desperate attempt to paint yourself as the man who dares to call out the snowflake, liberal, Guardianistas. Then I looked back at some of your other posts and I see t...

https://sydenham.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=18471 The window and door frames are already in and in the KFH branded colours. Re: Trains post May 20

I believe the London-bound trains off Penge East are going 2 minutes earlier, and the ones in the opposite direction 5 mins later, FWIW :) Plus there's supposed to be a 2-minute interchange onto the Thameslink route at Herne Hill. I haven't dared look at the Sydenham services yet, particularly sinc...
