Sorry to hear your news. It will be interesting if the current owner does get a better price than your offer - current housing market news suggests that this will be a challenge.

I've just been this afternoon and was pleased with all the information available. As far as ongoing funding is concerned this wasn't something I discussed with the helpful team there - however to my eyes what is suggested / proposed is lower maintenance than what it will replace; the risks then of c...

Did you know Londis originally was a contraction of 'London District Stores'? Not everything on wikipedia is accurate or beyond contradiction but for those interested more information about the origins of this chain can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Londis (forgot to ask - are referenc...

This way we can all see their behaviour and if necessary do something about it if there is any probl...

This sounds like our council are spending money 'setting up' the bus lane before they have permission to install a bus lane. What happens if they do not get permission? They have already spent our money (whether it comes from council tax or central funds). I wonder hw many times they have done this ...

Please remember the reason for the cameras on Westwood Hill. There's a school, a number of junctions which, if you're coming down the hill too 'fast' are blind to you, the driver. Also over the last few months there have been a number of accidents. Take care - you are going to have to stop at Cobbs ...

I must be optically challenged as well as I have never noticed the 'no righter' into Wickes. It must be the sense of anticipation and excitement I always feel when approaching Wickes; the thought of the sawn timber to assess; the smell of plumber's mate - oh dear I'd better stop now.

Irrespective of what happens to Londis I hope the flower seller keeps on going. They brighten up the street and its always good to know you can buy some there.
