Now that Nandos has successfully opened and is a popular venue for a great many local people, I do not think this needs to be a sticky anymore.
Thanks

Re: Bell Green: Planning Inspectorate Public Enquiry announc
For those following this saga, an application has been posted today to convert the ToysRUs building at Bell Green into an Aldi. What this means for this application I’m not sure. Well that’s great. I was hoping that that the former toys r us unit would be taken by Poundstretcher! It seems likely th...

Re: Ignition Brewey needs our help!
Fantastic news. Ignition’s tap room is due to open on 15th September. From the 15th, they will be in full-opening mode, Thursday and Friday evenings, and Saturday 2pm-10pm. I had a sneaky look yestersay and Nick and the team have done a brilliant job. Please everyone get down there from the 15th and...

Cobbs corner
Great news - hot on the heels of Nandos highly successful launch, pleased to say that planning permission has been granted for the change of use of the old nightclub to a laser quest and escape room venue. While I would have very much preferred to have had an Everyman cinema, this will bring a large...

That is fantastic news. Just for information in speaking to the developers they have also offered to acquire the adjacent Sivers yard with the hope of including it as part of their scheme.

Re: sticky:RUMOURS: CINEMA AND NANDOS COMING TO SYDENHAM
The original signage was vibrant. However I feel the conservation officer was wrong in their attempt at dumbing this down. Perhaps they might spend a bit more time in trying to get the rest of the building restored which is in desperate need of care and attention. Nandos investment makes the rest of...

Re: Calabash of Culture
I looked at documents that were available (some weren't), but didn't see the 1 am closing time. Can you pinpoint which document pls? I imagine the council might object to that late hour anyway (not that there's anyone around at 1 am). I noticed that existing Dallas Chicken shops close much earlier,...

Re: Calabash of Culture
I would suggest that if anyone may wish to object that they do so on the grounds that it is primarily a takeaway which lewisham has a planning policy to limit and on the hours of operation which would adversely affect the amenity of those who live above the shops.

New plans for Calabash of Culture site
A change of use application has been submitted for 21 Sydenham road for a restaurant/takeaway. The application is for a Dallas Chicken franchise and the applicant wants to operate until 1:00am every morning seven days a week. For those who may wish to comment on this application the reference is htt...

Degradation of Sydenham Road
After so much investment was put into improving Sydenham Road and it looking great for a while, it really saddens and angers me that it is looking so tired and a bit of a mess already. Current issues include: Pavements that have not been reinstated properly after statutory services have been in Tree...

Hi
Because it has planning permission for an estate agency and not for a takeaway.

Big thank you to Garry Mallen, the owner of the Greyhound, for contributing £1,000 to the crowdfunding.
Ignition have met their initial aim to secure £20,000 and have now have a stretch target of £28,000. So please keep on giving if you are able to.

Dulwich borders South Forest Hill North Penge West Bellingham Lower Crystal Palace None of the above it should just be marketed...

Re: sticky:RUMOURS: CINEMA AND NANDOS COMING TO SYDENHAM
Hello just a quick update on Nandos. I have been told by their Head of Acquisitons that the landlord has completed all their works and that Nandos have commenced their fit out. They anticipate that their fit out will take about 3 months, so with a fair wind I would say that it should be open by the ...

I'm glad you back it Prince - I heard that the majority of people there did too My personal view is it's a shame the changes have had to be made (for those who haven't seen, the top rear window is obscured and the ceilings cut in height by 10cm, so the whole house is shorter. feels like a bit of a ...

Re: 154-158 Sydenham Road

I visited this evening and fully support this high quality scheme and they have positively responded...
