Hopefully the risks of engaging in this sort of activity might be a deterrent.

Re: Penge attempted robbery

And another one filmed in Lewisham a couple of weeks ago. Somebody will ram these idiots right off their bikes and into a neighboring borough some day. Do we assume that the bikes weren't stolen as the registration numbers were clearly visible in this case? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XfJ9G4eXksE

Penge attempted robbery

Events caught on a mobile phone in Penge last night, thugs attempted to pull a man from his moped and steal it, the brave intervention of a few passers-by prevented it. I can't see why the number plate of the offenders motorbike should be obscured, someone mentions it starts "GX64". http:/...

Re: sydenham needs an uplifting

Nigel. You could at least have made your own recommendations as to where one gets such pleasures in this vicinity (shame on you that you couldn't be bothered), I suspect, however, Eagle will be along soon with some diamond encrusted guidance, he was, after all, missing for some considerable time (in...

Re: sydenham needs an uplifting

In view of all the betting shops, fried chicken/kebab shops and 'pound' shops that dominate Sydenham Road, I can't see why someone hasn't had the foresight to open a decent "Rub n' Tug" shop. Hopefully one may open soon, adorned with some suitably tasteful signage.

Re: Celebrating Brexit.

Its not an insuperable problem if you realise it and try and do something about it. But it would appear many Brexiters are in complete denial of the threats before they voted and continue to believe that 'all is well' or 'just a blip'. So if I and others are over reacting (which is possible - forec...

Re: Celebrating Brexit.

I think we're at cross purposes. My point being that the life of the 52% hasn't and any change looks a long way off. It was ultimately a swap for DC to May. Establishment to establishment. The fiasco in the middle was fun to watch admittedly and Boris' book will sell plenty, but nothing really chan...

Re: Celebrating Brexit.

But the kick in the knackers has also had zero effect, Really? But our Prime Minister immediately resigned (even though he had no need to) didn't he? Haven't the "opposition" ( ) also just fallen to pieces due to this? Farage resigned too (for the moment, if only to spend more time ...

Re: Celebrating Brexit.

Surely the real reason why there is no plan from anyone is because those that have to enforce A50 hadnt got the will or desire to actually evoke the thing. The ones that sold the country down the river have all vanished. Total shambles. Indeed, and, even more cause to celebrate (that is the thread ...

Re: Celebrating Brexit.

Well I think Cameron should step aside as he seems to want to dilly-dally over kicking off Article 50, and Roy Hodgson should be appointed in his place to ensure our rapid Euro exit.

Re: Cat Killer - Be wary of anyone acting suspiciously

However how many birds get killed by cats. . Not nearly enough and good that cats keep the numbers down, I am fed up with them invariably messing all over my nice clean car after I've only just had it washed. There's a particularly large one frequently visits this forum and dumps on numerous thread...

TV - 90th Anniversary

There seems to be very little celebration of this anywhere, but Sydenham resident John Logie Baird first demonstrated a mechanical television system on 26th January 1926. Where would we be without the likes of Celebrity Big Brother, Jeremy Kyle, Hollyoaks, Cash in the Attic and Homes Under the Hamme...

Great, Will send you a PM I would like to have joined you but although the licensee may have recently been booted out I would also be hoping that the clientele has changed too, rather than take any risk I usually walk past the place and generally go to Beer Rebellion. http://www.newsshopper.co.uk/n...
