actually i think the works now underway are for (yet another) homebase (also part of the sainsbury empire?). i think the proposed housing was for the bit between the gasworks & the river. but i could be wrong. time will tell ....

Does anyone know what is happening with the Building Schools for the Future programme at Sydenham School given recent govt announcements? Is it still going ahead? Any info would be appreciated.

lewsiham have been promising me a new recycling bin since october - they are most obliging by email & by phone but it doesn't turn up - i'm being good & holding on to the recycling whilst waiting - but i'm running out of rooms.

Does anyone know if there are fireworks at Crystal Palace this year? If not, where's the nearest decent display (but not Blackheath - nightmare getting back with kids afterwards)
