Re: 255-269 Sydenham Road - Planning Application

Can you object to planning applications for bland design? You could but generally design in planning terms is seen as subjective. " Incongruous in the street scene" is a popular phrase with Planning Inspectors. Lots of developments like this propose a residents Car sharing scheme to be im...

Re: 255-269 Sydenham Road - Planning Application

Its probably worth noting that every single one of these devlopments are being carried out entirley by Housing Associations, therefore providing housing for the most needy and easing Lewishams Housing waiting list ! All the flats at the Greyhound are by Hexagon Housing, Bell Green is by Circle Housi...

Re: Kirkdale Adult Education Centre to close

Im sure if the Council employs an innovative Architect they could obtain a Planning permission for the land fronting Kelvin and Franscombe Grove without spoiling the view or setting of the main building. This would then release funds to refurbish and maintain the place for the prinmary school ?

Re: Daniel Morgan Murder

Hence I wonder why this trial was attempted yet again ..... this failure is surely down to CPS, evidence is supposed to be complete in order for a trial to take place, especially when it's a repeat. Quite correct, HD "Not only must Justice be done; it must also be seen to be done.", Its a...

Dorian wrote: The agents marketing , appearence , web site, and advertising are all to attract sellers not buyers. Really? The agent generally doesn't get his/her commission until the house has been sold, so I imagine that attracting buyers is pretty important to them. Dorian wrote: Property sells ...

Re: ex-Proctors Estate Agents

HD , thats very true. Its rare that Estate Agents " earn " there money, the bottom line is an area and its qualities and above all the asking price sell property , not the agents. The agents marketing , appearence , web site, and advertising are all to attract sellers not buyers. Property ...

Re: Newlands Park Murder?

I think the point is that the Police , as Bensonby said , can not be all things , and every where to everyone regardless of policy or regime. The issue is a broken society generally and the lawlessness and the disregard for life that this society has spawned. Call it " Big Society" or what...

Re: Newlands Park Murder?

I really don't think hysteria is the reaction that should be being whipped up. I dont think the writer for that newspaper was attempting whip up hysteria, I did not feel " hysteria" when I read it ? She was purportedly quoting a local resident. The Police data shows that crime in the area...

Re: Newlands Park Murder?

I wasnt saying it was at the hands of the Police. Of course it wasnt. I was just making the point that they put resource at the station to back up inspectors/transport Police when there is scum walking around a few hundred yards away which is where their attentions should be.. This event just highl...

I'm in no way offended.

I do not for one moment think the plans are philanthropotic . I'm checking on the EU bit and will revert , back later when not standing in a muddy field

Re: Crystal Palace stadium re-development?

Sorry Dorian - sold in property speak can mean obtaining an interest in land whether it be actually purchasing the freehold or leasehold interest. It will have to be one or the other. I expect CPFC to be looking at a sweet lease on a long term. I do know a little about property speak , but thanks f...

As far as I know ( Im a rugby man meself and know little about Chavball ). Re: Crystal Palace stadium re-development?

Sledge hammer and nut! There are other more sustainable approaches which should be considered before Bromley go anywhere near this scheme. Whilst agreeing that the scheme needs fine tuning and thinking through, surley this can be done via a statutary consulation period. S.106 obligations , travel p...

Re: Crystal Palace stadium re-development?

Not sure how Bromley came to be wholly responsible for CPP, that seems to be the big problem in all this ...... as well as the likelihood that Croydon could pay CPFCLtd's new owners (too?) handsomely for the site for housing. . Im not sure that, if by Croydon you mean Croydon Council ,would have an...
