I seem to recall that a number of early adopters of the flashing LEDs were threatened with prosecution unless they removed them. Finally sense shone through and they only made legal about 2-3 years ago. Barty - you seem to be making the point that motorists get away with nothing whilst cyclists get ...

When cyclists go through red lights they tend to forget about the good old pedestrian who is often trying to cross the road. Cyclist should obey the rules. One could quite easily substitute 'driver' for 'cyclist' in that quote. Kent House Rd/Sydenham Rd junction yesterday afternoon: 5 cars decided ...

Thanks for Weds Ali. I am starting to recover from my calf strain (within the first two minutes of getting onto the pitch - Doh) so two weeks time is good for me. Thank god the rest of me didn't ache like I did from the first game (I must be getting fitter!!??) Lex - I prefer playing on the pitches ...

I'm in and I will be able to bring a ball for the next game. My legs are still killing me - as much as I am bored by it I am going to have to get some jogging/running in before the 20th.

Hi all - I'll be there with at least plus one. The only problem being that I sprained my ankle on Sunday (bizarre gardening accident, although I in in ruder health than John "Stumpy" Pepys!). If I can play I will, but I have already consigned myself to being a spectator on Sunday. I'll be ...

My brother is interested in playing too. Provided that being a Balham-ite doesn't make him ineligible for selection!! He may also be able to drum up some further interest amongst his work colleagues too.

Great idea ALIB. I'm interested in playing too. I'm more of a Razor Ruddock than Ronaldo and more than happy to have a shot at making you look good!

Hi Ulysses, The chances of larger aircraft using LCY are very unlikely. All aircraft that use LCY have to be capable of flying on a steep glide path (5.5 degrees) due to the surrounding buildings and only a few passenger aircraft are certified to do so. Also the runway is relatively short (1500 metr...

Black Cat

Is anyone missing a black cat in the Knighton Park Rd area? Last weekend it was howling outside our back door overnight and looking a little distressed. We have been away for a week and within a matter of a couple of hours it was back outside our back door wanting to get in as if it lived here. Plea...

Hi guys. This sounds like a very exciting project and I am more than willing to help in any way I can to get it off the ground. I have no experience in running a cinema club, but can offer enthusiasm and my time.

Dogs fouling on sydenham Road

I have been really disappointed to see that over the last few months the pavements between Knighton Park Road and Sydenham Station (my morning and evening commute) have gone from being fairly 'clean' - apart from the usual litter dropped by people too lazy to stick it in the plentiful bins - to bein...
