Jessie says--They think they own the street they sure do rule it at the moment. grrrrrr But they do own the streets now. no they don't its our duty as law-abiding citizens to challenge illegal and anti-social behaviour. We can't just leave it up to the police - do you know how thin the thin blue li...

keep a diary of what happens when - include as much detail as possible. Descriptions, names, times, exactly what is said and so on.... try and photograph them - do this surrepticiously. Encourage all your neigbours to do the same. after, say, a month go and present all of this to the police and the ...

Wow! 177 posts on this thread to date - I might as well wade in :) I brought the over-crowding up at the Meet the Managers session at London Bridge and judging by the reaction I got I wasn't the first person to bring it up. It's a completely absurd situation and well done all of you who have been c...

I couldn't agree more Boon. the crush at rush hour is absurd....I have no objection to going through barriers per se but the inconvenience and detention that is suffered whilst going through the barriers is absurd, and, in my opnion, probably unlawful. Why can't they just open them between the hours...

If you buy a monthly travelcard at the station then it will come on a paper ticket (you will also need to bring a passport-sized photograph). This paper ticket will go through the barriers at any tube/train station in zones 1, 2 or 3. You show it to the driver if you get on a bus (it will be valid o...

Re: Staying in Sydenham - few Q
I guess a monthly travelcard does not cover a train journey from Sydenham? Best for a monthly daily trips to London would then be purchasing a monthly train ticket plus travelcard on Oyster...with those I can make unlimited journeys within a month? A travelcard is valid on the trains. If you intend...

Hi stone-penge I'm not familiar with the ruling in the Court of Appeal in Re Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain v Boots Cash Chemists Ltd [1953], though I'd guess it refers to leaving a shop with goods without having paid before a crime of shoplifting is deemed to have been committed? It actua...
