So a moderator would have to delete a post where their name was not displayed in the case you describe, alywin?
That sounds like a lot of work!
Is that a practical suggestion? Just wondering!

There's a mention of this in the Asylum, but no reasons given as yet.

I've found the same with Cherry & Ice - I mean their coffee is gorgeous, but 3 or 4 times I've gone there to find them shut, and it's very off-putting.

Re: Fox in house
I heard the Urban Fox society rep talking on LBC (Nick Ferrari) this morning: he said the worst thing to do is to feed foxes, which encourages them not to fear humans and then they're likely to come into your or a neighbour's house. Personally when they come into my garden I shout and chase them awa...

Volunteers to teach IT at Sydenham library
We need a few volunteers - if possible - to teach people the basics of IT. A couple of hours a week (or more!) would be ideal, usually for an hour at a time. Basically, in the first lesson you'll see what they need to know and then teach them from then on, normally once a week. You'd be teaching one...

Definitely! If you can join us on Wednesday 29 August from about 7.30 in the Golden Lion, we'd be glad to see you. This month's book is "26A" by Diana Evans.

Re: Newlands Park
How about making those roads quiet by putting in barriers half way along each of them, so the northern ends would only be accessed from Tredown, the southern section from Venner. You could also stop rat-running in Homecroft by doing the same halfway along. I've seen it done successfully in various a...

Sydenham library will be CLOSED this coming Saturday
The Library will be closed this coming Saturday, 21st July, as we are very short of volunteers. Some volunteers are on holiday, some have found jobs! We would really like more volunteers, including brave people who can open and staff the building, people who can call in for a couple of hours and hel...

Re: Moving to Sydenham
Are you looking for a house? You won't find many in Sydenham for £500k unfortunately. But there's a bit of a cluster in the streets off Sydenham road opposite Home Park - Larkbere, Highclere, Sunnydene, Holmshaw, Adamsrill. Others would have to comment on what these streets are like as I don't know ...

It goes back to the whole local demographics thing, we just don’t seem to be on the coffee chain’s radar (yet!).
Unlike Penge it seems (Costa).

Re: Lewisham Election Results
We need proportional representation (not that it would have made any difference in Sydenham).
That should mean more people might vote, more get engaged. You might even get canvassing!
