Re: I’m being spied on
I'm sure that however the Labour Party got information about (or guessed) your previous voting patterns, it won't have been by illegally tracing your ballot paper(s) through the unique number. If that sort of thing went on, we would have heard about it and it would constitute a major political scan...

Re: The Monstrosity
I live as a neighbour of the St Philip Neri school in Fairlawn Park, and am appalled by its design quality. It is the kind of structure you expect on an industrial estate, not in such a prominent position. Lewisham Council has let us down appallingly over this development, especially after a notabl...

There is also one that has just opened up in the back of the pet shop on the high street. There are now the same number of dog grooming salons as nail bars and undertakers.syd-gal wrote:That sounds like a better location.

Re: Lewisham Council and Trees
Hopefully that’s the case here too then, but last time they completely removed the tree, stump and all, and this is the wrong time of year to prune cherry - should be done in the summer to avoid disease (unlike other trees). Think that was because it was too close to a house and buckling the paveme...

Re: Poodle club
I completely agree with Lord Summerisle. What I really liked about Beer Rebellion was that place was genuinely open to everyone, great 'bringing together community' feel.... Me too, feeling sad for that community gathering opportunity lost and really hope that Poodle club is not staying just as a w...

Re: Billings Christmas food
Been a fan since day one, and also used to buy from Hugh when he was down at the bottom of the high street - great shop. They seem to thrive. I definitely spend more cash in there than I need to. Eggs are wonderful, and they have a really good selection of cheese. Fish is always beautifully presente...

Re: STILL NO SYDENHAM CHRISTMAS TREE OR LIGHTS?!
I reckon the Christmas tree looks ridiculous - the plastic railing things around it looks like the gas board are about to dig the place up.

Re: New bakers to open in Kirkdale
Personally I am a fan of the bread in The Cake Store. The baguettes are not great, but the farmhouse, I believe, is a triumph. I think they could do with some sourdough to fit in with the 'new old' world of high qual ingredients, and probably some ciabatta or focaccia etc, but when I have asked them...

Re: food waste collection
All seems fine to me on this excellent initiative. Also cuts down the smell of the black bins. I haven’t changed my house bin for a week or so as the recycling and the food waste system cut down the smell so less need to change it. Whoever wrote earlier that they were laughing about foxes etc, the b...

51 Knighton Park Road.
For the second time this summer, this house has been the scene of an all night rave. Residents of the road are pretty powerless and the police say that they can't do much about it. Cars parked the length of the road, and people urinating along the street and in people's gardens. Thumping beats all n...

Re: Suggestion - red light cameras
Another suggestion for the one up by the bookshop is to remove it altogether - that whole junction is rubbish. The roundabout is useless as most cars coming down from CP get stuck on it and the whole of W'wood Hill is at a standstill. As for the one down between KPR and Trewsbury, I have nearly been...

Yes, they were back again last night. Sainsbury's were advised, however the car park is the responsibility of the council. May I ask what our local council is doing about this? It's both dangerous and creates a great deal of noise pollution. Dangerous? Yes. Let them kill themselves if they want to ...

Dangerous dog or not a quick Google will show you that as the law stands, in pedestrian area unless there are signs saying otherwise, all dogs must be on a lead.
