I got this information from the Mayor's office today:
We have chased Southern twice already this week for their promised response, and they have assured us that they will send us something by the end of the week.

Official confirmation on se23.com

It is legal to turn into Halfords but not Wickes. No longer any need to go all the way round Catford to get to Wickes, just turn round in Halfords.

It is pathetic that while TfL know that the current solution is not good enough, they are not doing anything to help passengers in Sydenham who could be helped simply by opening the gate until they have found the right solution. No doubt when TfL put in barriers that do not require buzzer access the...

My research tells me it is pronounced JEFF-I-RO-FOBIA. Should you be suffering from a sudden fear of bridges I recommend using this word to gain access to platform 1. It might work!

can anyone think of any (legal) direct action that can be taken. What would happen if the gate accidentally got wedged open? Would staff have to go to 'free' the gate to prevent passengers taking the sensible (and perfectly legal) exit from the station. I'm no legal expert but I do not believe that...

Personally, I like the 'alternative' independent plan that is circulating (unofficially). At least that forms a basis for discussion, if nothing else. It's well laid out and seems to address all the major issues, with retention of the victorian frontage and a lovely pedestrianised square. Alib I wo...

One surprising thing emerged from the reading, the fact that the alarming rate of leakage happened during the refilling of the pools and then it decreased to the usual rate and stabilized there. My understanding from speaking to a (possibly the same) member of Friends of Forest Hill Pools, is that ...

I'm sure I read once (in a newspaper) that there are more swimming pools in the city of Melbourne, Australia, than there are in the whole of England. Can anyone corroborate this? I have done a bit of research and I found an article in the Sun which mentioned: GREGOR TAIT, the Scottish swimmer who b...

Summary: All the evidence suggests that there will be cuts to the existing services to London Bridge. Although the RUS does not talk about off-peak services to London Bridge or Victoria previous documents do talk about cuts to these services. We continue to oppose any cuts to the services from Syden...

Raymondus, 20 trains per hour is a figure Peter and others have provided on previous occasions. This is not a concession, just a statement of fact regarding signaling capabilities on our stretch of line. Nobody expects that we will have 20 trains per hour given the other demands on the tracks around...

If TfL's figures are genuine switching figures they should take that into consideration. .... Anyway I'm hoping TfL have put substantially more effort into their modelling than I have and hopefully they'll be able to provide some clearer answers. .... A reduction of 2 trains out of 8 is 25% reduction in trains (33% reduction off peak). Although approximately 33% of passengers currently use the Jubilee Line, this does not mean they will all stop going to London Bridge because of ELL. Some certainly will, but I would guess that they will split acco...

There is definitely a desire for a coffee chop in Forest Hill and as long as it is located on the main roads (Dartmouth or London) then you should have a good number of customers all day long. There are a number of possible sites (next to Sainsburys, next to Boots, old McDonalds, and possibly opposi...
