Re: OLSPN: Urgent deadline for comments on St Philip Neri school redevelopment
I don’t understand. There was a school already there. Already built on “contaminated land” so why is it so relevant now?

Yes that’s not cool and really just verging on the ridiculous.

We last went on a busy looking Sunday (when I imagine fewer docs?) and the wait was 1 hour. The waiting room was 3/4 full
Re: Dentist
I use My Dentist on the high st for 6 monthly cleans and check ups. They are fine. My husband had a filling and fake tooth done too and both fine. Sorry to keep saying fine, but I can’t get excited about going to a dentist . Would recommend though.

Re: Tues 27th, 7pm, meeting re OLSPN & other planning crises
Yes, agree, as a local resident with children at the school I get a bit annoyed with the posters. Especially as they are left way after the event and look scruffy. I don’t mind a couple, but one every couple of meters is excessive and bad for the environment. I really wanted to go to the meeting but...

Agree it’s a good school. You don’t HAVE to be Catholic though, but obviously happy for your child to say prayers daily/go to church with the school from time to time.

Always wondered why no one in audience was never caught dozing off. I often fall asleep on sofa half an hour in!!
Home Park
Hello Can anyone tell me who owns/manages the allotment/garden thing next to the adventure playground? I spend a fair bit of time in that park and over last 2 years I have never seen anyone in there. Seems a shame. Could be a good community space for activities etc for all ages. Is there a Friends o...

Re: A Leaf out of East Dulwich Forum's book?
Wow there are just so many things on Facebook feed it would be hard to post them all here. A new group called Sydenham Se26 community is on Facebook and seems to be closest to forum. There are over 15 posts today (inc people advertising their businesses- mostly oven cleaning) There’s posts from libr...

Re: A Leaf out of East Dulwich Forum's book?
I moved from East Dulwich a few years ago too. If i want to sell stuff in Sydenham I use the sydenham specific FB sites and find that free stuff goes in seconds, especially if I post it on sydenham mums. Friends of Mayow Park also has its own FB site and so does sydenham library. I get far fewer no ...

Re: Cat killer
Yes probably. I have seen my cat chased by a fox in a previous abode, but I reckon cats are faster. Also seen my cat bullied by magpies and crows, poor thing !! Other cats are probably cats’ main predators

Re: Cat killer
Not surprised. Some are not frightened of humans and do not run off when disturbed. Recently in Kelsey park, in broad daylight, I bent down to see what my 2 year old, who was next to me, was looking at. His hand was in a clearing in a bush and as I got to his level he commented “I got new dog” He ha...

You can deffo do a diagonal at Mayow as it’s not a real crossroad. Or maybe I have been unknowingly dodging death for a few years
