We had a note on our bin when we moved to Sydenham as we out garden waste in the normal bin so it's not been allowed for quite some time.

There could be any number of reasons. Many of them not related to the viability of the business. I know that the bistro was a dream of the owners realised after a long time. Perhaps the reality of running a bistro open for 3 meals 7 days a week did not match the dream?
