Hi, I live with my young family in De Frene Road. We went away to visit my parents early on sat morning, and on our return last night found that someone(s) had smashed off the hinges on one of our patio doors and forced their way in. They went through all our stuff, and took about £100 cash, a few p...

Re: Sydenham Road 60's Gap
Aah, just had a look at that map, looks like something hit there, not a V1 or V2, just a 'normal' bomb?

Sydenham Road 60's Gap
Hello all! I was wondering if anyone knew why there is a gap in the nice architecture on the north side of Sydenham Road where Superdrug is. Similar architecture either side then a big blocky reminder of the post WW2 aesthetic in the middle. Was there a bomb hit? I remember looking at the bomb damag...

Fransfield Grove
Hello All! I live on the south side of Fransfield Grove, and have been doing a bit of research as to when it was built, mainly using this wonderful site. As far as i can tell it was sometime in the 1880s. On an 1879 map, the grove exists but only with two houses, one at each end, so I assume the gap...
