Im thinking that Lewisham's idea of much improved public transport will mean people dont need cars as it would seem that they are expecting roughly about 25% of the residents to own a car, oh lordy! ...This is Lewisham Council for you, remember! :x They said something about having ample motorcycle p...

I think that having a Tesco in the area will make other busineesses think, hmmm, if tesco are here why dont we open up too, some type of other shop like a coffee shop may think that if Tesco is here there must be some passing trade therefore i should open a business here. And as for losing the other...

Well nasaroc you have enlightened me about the idea that they will have larger rolling stock accomodating passengers to London Bridge, i thought they were trying to reduce them alongside the advocation of the LB to Victoria loop. However i dont feel extra trains to Croydon, especially West Croydon a...

I think the East London Line maybe a waste of time because we need more trains from Sydenham to London Bridge etc without having to change, it looks as if 3 changes would need to be made on the tube line in order to get to the West End or indeed Charing X or Oxford Circus, etc. The EEL doesnt really...

I wouldnt say that the new additions of Wilkinsons, 99p stores and Lidl mean Penge is on the up, id have thought quite the opposite, Sydenham can do better than that surely! I wouldnt want to welcome any stores of that kind in Sydenham, its bad enough as it is with Lidl and its crappy pound shops ho...

I'd rather see a Caffe Nero open up than another 'Sema's Cafe' in all honesty, i mean such Coffee Shops can change the whole look and feel of a high street, and yes they are expensive but it keeps the 'riff raff' out doesnt it! I dont mind independent shops opening but they simply dont have the mone...

Dont think another Homebase is a good idea anyway, theres already one nearby in Penge and one at the other end of Southend Lane, we dont need one in Sydenham, people dont mind travelling in the car another 10 minutes for a shop like Homebase. I think a Cinema would be good, it would match the archit...

Havent been in the new store yet, has the new layout been designed for its transition to be the Co-Operative food because Co-Operative food have taken over Somerfield...? Hopefully they change the exterior and signage so the shop name 'to be Co-Operative' is more accesible to the eye as you walk pas...

I think its absolutely ridiculous the fact that Lewisham doesnt have a cinema, there really has been a lack of investment within the borough hasnt there? ...I mean so many boroughs, think of neighbouring Croydon and Greenwich have large entertainment and retail complexes like Purley Way, Croydon Tow...

These ideas are really good and surprising coming from Lewisham Council, i think its good to knock down the old Forest Hill pools building as Lewisham Council are rubbish and always have been at looking after the older listed buildings in the borough as well as everything else, Forest Hill Library n...

There are too many pubs in Sydenham, and most of them are old dives which should be closed anyway. We need more restaurants, wine bars and coffee shops!! 8)

Oh wow, how lucky would we be if only it was a Starbucks or Caffe Nero, that would raise the house prices :D , i think businesses like that should come to Sydenham what with the new overground tube system opening in June next year, hopefully a new clientelle will reside in Sydenham.

Hi, i can clarify that a Tesco Express WILL be opening on the corner of Willow Way under the new flats in Kirkdale around the end of April. It can only be seen as a good thing because nobody else wants to invest in Kirkdale, how bad can a new competitively priced Tesco be in a neighbourhood which lo...
