Re: Sockpuppets on t'other forum
Here's a question. Is it OK to film someone in public, argue with them, post the video shaming them, then also publicly post their address also? Harrassing elderly people on their doorstep, intimidating them by putting a camera in their face, then posting the results of it on a local forum, complete...

Re: Sockpuppets on t'other forum
The ongoing police investigation is the answer to everything isn't it! All anyone wants is a simple confirmation from the mods that that acknowledge that there was a breach of trust on the forum by its admin. Not what they did, who to, or why? Members who didn't get to see the thread have no idea wh...

Re: Sockpuppets on t'other forum
Is it just me, or is there is a deliberate attempt to quash any mention of the problem by bumping posts, editing them etc? Or just coincidence? Interesting to see one of the mods has finally replied though, with a simple "why don't you wait and see." Errm, that's what everyone is doing, bu...

Re: Sockpuppets on t'other forum
All the while, CB is still very much active on the forum, reading posts, sending PB's and in the midst of all this, lots of posts being put up or bumped from a long time back to bury a recent thread which gently started to open up the cracks again, while trying to paint over them. Still nothing offi...

Re: Sockpuppets on t'other forum
Rachael, Stuart, both powerful and frank statements which I believe there are a lot of people now who would support you both on. It's sad to see the mods almost unwittingly end up being the focus of attention because of CB's wrongdoing. However I completely understand why this has happened. I genuin...

Re: Sockpuppets on t'other forum
Bravo! Spot on. All I think is that it’s pretty despicable behaviour on all accounts and I find it highly highly suspicious that 1. CB gets caught out lying directly to members of the forum 2. Is caught making up a fake account to use to his own benefit, something he has been repeatedly accused of i...

Re: Sockpuppets on t'other forum
So one thing is perfectly clear here, that Mr Beach IS reading the comments, and acting on them accordingly. That poses the question, that if some of this is being taken on board, what are the intentions? Is it to simply remove any posts, tweets, or data which may cast him in a poor light, or are th...

Re: Sockpuppets on t'other forum
I'm sure most are more than happy to give the mods the time and respect they deserve. No one wants anything to happen over night, just a little actual acknowledgement that something went badly wrong, and that they know it needs addressing. So far it has all been a little, "oopsie daisy that was...

Re: Sockpuppets on t'other forum
Wow. And I thought the other thread on the other forum was fascinating.... I’d really love there to be a forum for se23 that didn’t have these problems. Anyone? Wouldn't that be lovely. Sadly I think part of the problem is the upper structure of the forum, and the way matters are dealt with...

Re: Sockpuppets on t'other forum
I could not agree more with this sentiment. Many people past and present have put a lot of time and energy into creating the wealth of information and discussion that the forum now is. To see all that content go to waste because of the selfish and obsessive actions of one person (albeit the owner) w...

Re: Sockpuppets on t'other forum
I would imagine that if it is genuinely in the hands of the police, that a formal request will be received to remove any information which may prejudice and investigation. Guess we will have to wait and see. I wonder also, if this is being looked into, if others will be contacted about their encount...

Interesting development. *** Moderator update *** Please note that whilst this update will show as from Chris, it is from the moderator team editing the original message. We’ve been informed this matter is now being formerly investigated by the police and as such, all information in this thread has ...

Re: Sockpuppets on t'other forum
Just had to chime in on this and say what a relief it is that the sicking grin has finally broken. Turning, I am sure, to more of a pained grimace for the time being. I have to say, given the language being used by moderators of the other forum, I get the impression this is being treated as a "...

Interesting and refreshing read right there.
I am delighted to see what I would call progress in the local area.

Wow, that is terrible behaviour. Well done for capturing a picture of them doing this.
Reading up it seems to make for a rather curious situation. Certainly hope the neighbourhood team would be willing to do something.

Re: Dodgy CD?
Sounds intriguing. Hope you get to the bottom of the mystery. No idea here myself I'm afraid.

Hi, looks like a good plan to me. Right by the station. Perfect location for a hotel, and a great new chapter for the pub too.
Signed.

Section 60 Order, Lewisham Borough
So much been going on locally recently, stabbings, shootings and lots of ASB with fireworks. Now the whole of the borough of Lewisham is under a Section 60 until 3am. This is apparently what it means. https://www.met.police.uk/SysSiteAssets/foi-media/metropolitan-police/policies/search-powers-under-...
