Re: Volunteers needed for Forest Hill & Sydenham Film Festiv
Hi all, I’m in the planning process of setting up a free film festival in Forest Hill and Sydenham and I’m looking for volunteers to help setup, run and manage the festival. This free festival is run for and by the community. I’m hoping to connect with people who are actively interested in creative...

His partner, fellow mp Janet Anderson claimed London home expenses on the home she shared with j dowd which he already claimed expenses for - or something. that may be what you're thinking of although there are other reasons, imho, that it's time he stepped down She also brought in the free tv lice...

Sounds good. CD sets aren't anywhere near as good as the sound is compressed.decchips wrote:Yes this is a vinyl only DJ Set from Oscar Romp (Stormwarning/Hawaiian Bop) and special guest Chris Arch (The Funk Committee).
This is a once monthly event at Bricklayers Arms - second to last Friday of the month.

I wonder what CPFC's take on the matter is.Bunty wrote:School already has a website and accepting interest....feels like a done deal! Such a shame the sports centre isn't the focus of funds. A waste of a fantastic facility in London.

Re: The Windmill that used to stand in Mill Gardens
Just to update all this, many years on.. The book is now published and includes pretty much what I believe to be the story of Sydenham Windmill. Ironically that story begins in 1626 in an adjoining county. It's all in the book, as are the histories of 45 other South London/NW Kent windmills. Apolog...

Re: Rebuild the Greyhound Pub Campaign #rebuildthegreyhound
Could - I'm just throwing an idea here - the Greyhound be rebuilt in the units under the flats with exact tiles and features etc and have a cool garden out front for patrons? Then you would have the units filled, eyesore in its present state removed and a garden. Just an idea off the top of my head.

Another thing that needs to be addressed is the daily addition of pigeon droppings in shop entrances. Maybe netting over the whole of the flats above the shops would help.

Re: Taxi's parking on Mayow Road
I am horrified . Parking on pavement , double parking and public urination. This is leafy Mayow Road , home to the gentry . Where are the Police. All these offences deserve at instant ban. Perhaps Councillors could get Police involved. Does that include Shifford Path? If someone uses a camera then ...

Re: VIBRANT HIGH STREET
Yes, they pay I think its £5.00 to the parish council who draw up a map of the village and where the garage sales are, then the public pay £2.00 to the parish council for the completed map, all the money made on the maps goes to the hall. A great idea I thought, it also helps get to know each other...

That's a great idea Lee, where I am you pay the parish council to put you on a map for a garage sale once a year, people buy the maps and the money goes to the local village hall which has a three drop in days a week where people have tea and biscuits for 50p it's a great way to meet new people, th...

Re: Bakerloo extension - Lower Sydenham transformed
I just wish these schemes would be carried out sooner rather than later. Crossrail is many billions more than it would have cost when mooted during the 1980s. In real, inflation adjusted terms, or just as in £100bn is more than £1bn? In real inflation adjusted terms. £330,000,000 compared to £15,00...
