Andy Coulson now formally charged with perjury. I have to admit I thought AC was made of teflon. I wonder if anything else is going to come back to haunt him ?

Jubilee Proms CP Park 24th June
Music and fireworks in Crystal Palace Park on 24th June. I was hoping this would be a free event, but tickets cost around £30.

Re: a New Historical Walk through Sydenham Woods proposed
that's around 22 people. A few may drop-out at the last moment, but that's a good working number and still leaves room for more.
You don't have to 'book' a place,..you can still just turn up if it transpires people are unexpectedly free that morning.

Re: a New Historical Walk through Sydenham Woods proposed
I hope the weather is hot, so a trip to the DWH to have a chat/drink afterwards is very definitely on the cards. I had included photos from the last walk in the notes i sent out. They are just not identified as originating from the last walk. I was attmepting to get someone from Wildlife for London ...

Shameful and disgusting. A number of parties have colluded in reaching this verdict Members of the Police, Members of the Government, members of the press and members of the criminal fraternity. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-18154695 21 May 2012 Last updated at 21:54 Daniel Morgan: Brother's 'zero ho...

i agree.
The last time i started a thread about a body in Sydenham woods, I alerted ADMIN to delete. Retrospectively, It was a bad idea to start the thread.
Likewise , julietP's initial post was ill-thought and 'she' shouldn't blame others for contributing

Re: Sydenham hill woods closed
the first two 'incidents' were suicides, and i would imagine they didn't make the press for a few reasons. Firstly identification of the body may take time And establish foul play (or not) Then the police have to ensure the next of kin are informed. Sometimes this may take longer than used to be the...

Re: Sydenham hill woods closed
Yep, the dog walker involved had discovered another body at the start of this year. So he (or his dog) have found 2 suicides in 5 months.
The police seem to think the woods will be open as normal tomorrow.
3 suicides in 3 years. Not good

Returning to Checkmate's original post, the Due Dilligence must be done for all business propositions. Whether this is a small public survey, or a review of legislation, business history and services, it is a 'must' for any proposed business. My own personal thoughts is that i am tired of all these ...

Apologies for my assumption. The ambulance sped from the Gold shop with lights and sirens, so i assumed it was off to hospital.

Without wishing to unduly criticise, the bakery has been a big 'plus' to that area of Kirkdale. Loads of cakes and pastries, and different types of hot fresh bread. Then a number of small problems began creeping in. I've collected fresh bread that wasn't cooked properly a couple of times on a saturd...

Good News, The situation seems to be rapidly improving. I walked past the site today and peeked through the screening, to see that work on the construction of the new basement was well under way. Obviously, the pub is still remaining (once it is rebuilt) and everyone benefits. http://farm8.staticfli...

Just to add, I was a bit apprehensive on returning and being so unfit. It is a very friendly group and there are no rash tackles, although it is competitive. I got hit in my substantial stomach last night by a football and it reminded me of doing bellyflops into the swimming pool as a child. It real...

skilled carpenters don't come cheap. Espcially if your cupboard/unit is only going to be made of plywood
My guess is an enthusiastic/experienced amateur, else you could try Ikea, who do loads of different sized storage units 'off the shelf'
