Re: Parliamentary Election Hustings

Here is the most relevant part of his reply (only edited out the least important bits as it wld become too wordy and they were of no relevance): I have never shared a platform with any National Front, National Party or British National Party representative. Liberty GB are just the latest manifestati...

Re: Parliamentary Election Hustings

That really is beneath contempt! Perhaps he would come, rather, if we would find a way of telling him we will no longer be prepared to vote for him regarding of the consequences. And to think I have already sent my paper with a stupid X against this undeserving, petulant, lazy, and downright insulti...

'38 Degrees' Hustings tonight

Does anybody know if we need tickets to get in? It's just that all the hustings on Facebook advise tickets are needed. Wld be grateful to know before making my way there by train: I think it's going to be absolutely packed... and if too late to make it at least I can watch the sorry spectacle of the...

Re: Parliamentary Election Hustings - 24th April

Does anybody know if we need tickets to attend today's 38 Degrees' Hustings in Honor Oak? I don't want to miss it but I have the feeling the place will be mobbed so I wonder if I will be wasting my time as will be travelling on public transport?

Re: AirBnB

I have your home very much in mind Savvy: there is an almost continuous stream of family and friends from Scotland and abroad coming to stay and at times there is just not enough room. Will be in touch - and yes, I do know what an incredibly amount of work it is involved in what you do...

Re: NEW CAKE SHOP IN SYDENHAM opening soon

As a customer and an ex business owner I do know that its internal "warmth" is indeed crucial but that people will only experience it if they are motivated to come through the door in the first place: by the good design, or humour, or originality of the frontage and window displays. Surely...

Yes, this is a Forum (?) – where people feel in no way obliged but are almost invariably eager to acknowledge the kindness of strangers.

Yes, the dry cleaners in Westow Hill in C Palace has a tailor working for them who is amazing and had done all sorts of near impossible things for us including exactly what you are after. Having twice responded to you for other requests of contacts and not received a single acknowledgment or thank y...

Nigel - please, for goodness sakes, we all rely on your salutations to boost our morale; please do never leave us alone to add our own, God knows what they will turn out to be, it might turn out depressing! Re: Where the chuff does one start with a new kitchen?

Absolutely agree with that Rachael has written re getting a general builder: that's exactly what we did when we moved here but there again we already knew one I trusted implicitly. First of all we got our builder to tidy up and make more practical our utility room; we said, Daniel it is a utility ro...

Re: Where the chuff does one start with a new kitchen?

Another thing we found was that by changing the opening direction of doors out of kitchen (on from inwards to outwards instead, another towards to right rather than the other way round, we gained not only a major greater sense of space but an actual wider working area itself. And so easy to do... Fi...

Re: Where the chuff does one start with a new kitchen?

According to "Results based on a survey of 3,346 Which? Connect members carried out in January 2013" Ikea kitchens have come out as the best value of them all, just above John Lewis and vastly superior to Howdens, B&Q, Homebase etc. And some of them are just beautiful.
