If these are the same as Canada Goose Jackets - where can you get them, I'm looking for a new one.

However a Hoose Jacket in Scotland is something you wear around your hame.

Re: Power Issues at Bell Green Retail Park

In this case - I don't actually know. But a major difference that can arise between a store refurbishment and a new-build project is one of error of assumptions for a refurb. For a new-build it is a fundament that designers will know that a new power head will be required and detailed calcs will det...

Re: Power Issues at Bell Green Retail Park

All change, it would seem, at Aldi today. Had to make a visit to the retail park at Bell Green and decided to look at the kit located outside Aldi. Reports of it being located to the rear appear out-of-date. There is now a locked timber compound sited to the front of Aldi in its car park. https://ul...

Re: Power Issues at Bell Green Retail Park

Am I the only one getting fed up with JGD hijacking threads for the purposes of her ongoing vendetta with Chris Beach? So boring and deters other people from contributing to the discussion. Could her posts not be moved to a separate thread? 'More reasons why Chris Beach is an absolute rotter' might...

Re: Power Issues at Bell Green Retail Park

I think it is courteous to give people the benefit of the doubt if they choose to keep their first names secret. Not sure that I follow the "keep their first names secret" part. My name is John Doherty and that is fairly commonly known on this and other local forums. I use JGD (my initial...

Re: Power Issues at Bell Green Retail Park

Apologies Robin. The appropriateness of my posts (and I am the OP) will not neccessarily be obvious to all. In this case Mr Beach has been running all over this issue in an effort to demonstrate falsely how relatable he is to the local community and to local issues. As you can see from my post and o...

What can Chris Beach furnish first hand in terms of knowledge. Noise problem ? From RTW ? Impact on visual amenity f...

Power Issues at Bell Green Retail Park

In other forums there is dialogue arising around the presence of large scale generators behind the new Aldi store and the possibility that the store is using these to supply power. There is further speculation that Sainsbury's had also suffered power interuption and asks if there is a general supply...

"Runs" happening from early evening through to 5:00am this morning. The last at 5:00am on Perry Hill towards Catford was a full bore virtually zero exhaust roar that woke me from a very deep sleep. It must have disturbed every home for at least 100m either side of the road. Anyone grabbed ...

Their branches open at 7am, and deliveries of stock are likely to start even earlier than that. Large lorries and multiple trade vehicles will add to congestion and air pollution. Accuracy is all - especially when presented in a balanced fashion. Typical opening times for T-P depots are these: Week...

Re: Speeding around the thorpes

Perhaps the issue is not restricted to the thorpes. Any of us living on the main road from Cobbs Corner all the way to Catford Hill will be familiar with the late night high-speed deep-throated roar of several cars and motorbykes. The signature back-fire of un-expended fuel is deeply intrusive and h...

Re: Activity in old Coop

Havn't seen the papers either. Timings depend on whether its a delegated matter to officers - and then a 4-8 week lead time is fairly normal for the preparation of reports etc. It could even be 12-16 weeks dependant upon criteria. You may have seen criticism in the national press over the last few d...

Re: Bell Green: A SydSoc view of s106 Monies

I can see that making a lot of sense - and I did observe a lot of groundwork being undertaken

But having said that, they did a lot of disassembly work whilst the void was still present and worked around it.

It's not intended to be a killer question - just curious.

Not sure of Keltbray’s commercial survivability if their Christmas break begins in late Oct or early Nov - which is my best (but very patchy) recall of when the disassembling work ceased. Weather wasn’t perfect but there was nothing so severe as to halt work. Again - does anyone have any insight int...

It would appear that the overdue completion of the dismantling of the gas holders will leave the site in prime condition. Just in time for the next development. Now we need to see the reinclusion of benefits lost in the rejection of the last development proposal. We need off street parking for Lives...
