I was planning to but wasn't able to make it in the end unfortunately. I've posted on facebook about another meet-up that we're trying to organise though...

If nothing else it will be great to chat to other working mums - hopefully we can stop each other from going completely demented! When are you due by the way? I'm not til September, I'm currently 20wks 5days.

I just searched for it but it didn't come up.... I've never created a group either, so I can't offer any suggestions for why!! It didn't come up when I just searched for groups with SE26 in the title either. I really appreciate you trying to do this, anything that stops me going crazy has to be good...

Hi MiniFox. As a first-time mum-to-be I'd definitely be interested in local groups.

Next Tuesday, I believe. Trying to confirm this now. There was a station employee on the gate last night telling everyone going through exactly that. Next Tues, closed for 8 weeks. As someone who's becoming increasingly heavily pregnant, I'm not relishing the idea of the extra walk in the morning.....

I've only had to go to the dentist once since living in the area but I went to the one by Forest Hill station and found them to be quite good.

I think the management may have changed in Blue Mtn. Was in there on Sat and noticed that the pies were gone and there were new things on the menu such as jerk chicken. Just to add: Not sure whether there's one closer to you, but there's a laundrette on Kirkdale up towards Dartmouth Road, probably about a 7-8 min walk from where you'll be. And while you're up that way you can get some really good Chinese takeaway from the Lin Hong Garden just around the corner on D...

I was actually more responding to Helen's post... if Lewisham have been doing all this work then why are the pavements still so dangerous?

And what about the pavements? It doesn't help the postmen when even the busy walking routes are still dangerous.

Good on you Simono! Hope the shoulder heals up. Kirkdale has been awful.. it's a main thoroughfare, and if I were elderly I wouldn't have even dared ventured out there. I can't believe that, grit or no grit, there was nothing that Lewisham could've done to clear at least a small pathway section just...

It would have been nice if people retreating back up Peak Hill Gardens bothered to mention to the people staggering over ice to reach the station that the gate was closed. Every time that gate has been locked it amazes me that people let you walk past them without saying anything, even more so when...

Just to add to that, Kirkdale is like an ice rink in places and Station Approach is bad too, especially at the top where it slopes the most.. be careful!

Ok, I've been trying to find out what time the trains will be running from London Bridge and from what I can tell it's 5 and 35 mins past the hour... can anyone confirm that I've got this right (or wrong)?

Do we know if trains back from London Bridge to Sydenham this evening are likely to be half-hourly only? I'm not clear on this from Southern's website, and NR are still showing trains running every 10mins or so but we know their site isn't accurate.... Just wondering how early I'll need to leave wor...
