I'm OUT - into week number 3 of a stinking cold and also nursing a bruised rib.

#RebuildTheGreyhound - pub to be rebuilt by April 2015?

I must admit I have not been following all this in any detail over the years... Not been following the Greyhound saga? You've missed out! t just occurred to me, if some glass could be put in those windows, which from a quick scan it looks like there is not, wouldn't they be a great spot for ...

Thames Water - destroying our new pavements

I've just had a call from a Thames Water.representative. She advised me that Thames Water is unable to complete the repair to the lay-by outside Kente cafe because Lewisham Council is refusing to issue a permit. I will take this up with officers at Lewisham Council and local councillors. She was una...

Redevelopment of 278-280 Kirkdale (by railway bridge)

Latest update from Lewisham Council:
Lewisham Council wrote:The works are on the system but traffic management must be arranged in order for them to be carried out. I spoke to the inspector this morning and he thinks the works should be done within the next month.

Redevelopment of 278-280 Kirkdale (by railway bridge)

It will be good when the new occupier takes over - it would seem probable (one would hope) that an occupier would wish to smarten up the area in front of the premises ASAP. I'm sure you're right, although I hope we don't need to wait for a new occupier simply to get this sorted. For what it's worth...

Thames Water - destroying our new pavements

There's another shocker outside LIDL where UK Power recently ran a cable across the road - they've left the pavement in bits. Not quite as bad as Thames's ludicrous effort outside Cherry and Ice but still a joke - is it really that difficult to put a few paving stones back where they were before yo...

'Legible London' sign outside Palace Wines

Hope this is helpful biscuitman1978, I'm happy for you to pop in for a chat anytime if you want to discuss any of these further. Thanks, P1971. To be honest, I'll be leaving Sydenham soon for pastures new. Whilst I continue to chase the repairs to the pavements and to report graffiti and fly-tippin...

'Legible London' sign outside Palace Wines

Just wondering if anyone wants to respond to this. I'm FH not Sydenham but happy to suggest ideas of getting funding together if anyone want's to take the lead. I don't necessarily think it needs to come from residents. Thoughts would be good for starters :-) Thanks very much for picking this up. W...

Re: Redevelopment of 278-280 Kirkdale (by railway bridge)

The latest update (8 March 2016) on reinstatement of the footway in front of The Orb: [Lewisham's transport team has] spoken to the highway inspector and he has said that unfortunately it is a tricky job as not only is it non-standard paving but Conways have pointed out that it is a difficult locat...

Thames Water - destroying our new pavements

Michelle Flood of Thames Water emailed me yesterday to update me on when the temporary repair outside Kente Cafe (pictured below) will be made good. She advised: 'Once again our team have informed me they’re in talks with the Highway Authorities to discuss the completion.' http://i.imgur.com/BbreoNF...

I'm afraid that the Legible London sign outside the Pedder estate agent office has suffered a similar fate to the sign outside Palace Wines:

I'm really under the weather at the moment, so I'm going to drop out.

Apologies - I know it's a pain when people drop out late.
