That website states that bus lanes must be "fully signed throughout their length". I'm pretty sure that even 24hr bus lanes have a sign saying "at anytime" and whether taxis, cycles may use it. The Kirkdale bus lane has no signage at all.
Do TfL regulate bus lanes?

Yes I agree Sophie - while the buses don't get stuck in traffic anymore vehicles are travelling much faster as the road is now wider and therefore more dangerous. Sorry to say it but I think speed cameras or speed humps are needed.

The lack of bus lane times is silly is confusing too.

Have to agree about how much they charge for 'sides'. I had a green leaf or garden salad and it was a tiny bowl of limp lettuce that have obviously been taken out of a ready salad bag, and without any oil or dressing. Apart from that the place is great!

Bit of a late reply but we had low water pressure on the 8th and possibly the 9th (on Kirkdale too). Seemed alright this morning though....

Glamour Lounge: I hope you will be encouraging your members to not drive to the club (new bus lane outside and little street parking available) and also to leave the venue quietly (residential area). I must be getting old
Any special offers for local residents ?

Sorry but that is the first thing that comes to mind when you look at the website: it is for ladies only (all the photos are of over 50s) and talks about not being for young fit people. Just made me laugh.... Anyway, is this what we want? A coffee shop would be more for everyone. They do look succes...

Gymophobia on Station Approach

Just noticed signs in one of the disused premises on Sydenham Station Approach for something called Gymophobics. Looks like it's a ladies only concept gym:
http://www.gymophobics.co.uk/
i.e. a gym with 30minute sessions for old biddies.. sorry but look at the website!!
There goes our coffee shop :(

I asked the police as we were allowed to walk past the cordon at about 11pm - there was a serious road accident earlier in the evening. I assume that means someone was hurt badly. There was still stuff lying in the road.

Can't help I'm afraid but there seem to be quite a few unused shops in Sydenham... quite a shame as they could be put to good use. What plans do you have for the pine shop?

I've just moved into the area so thanks for the link to the Wells Park practice site - will be really useful to book appts online! However, it says that when registering i need to bring proof I've been resident for at least 3 months - why? I have proof that I live in the area (mortgage, council tax ...

I agree with the traffice problems post. Have just bought a place on Kirkdale and although I don't mind being on a busy road the jams around Cobbs Corner are ridiculous. The traffic gets backed-up pasot my house at random times of the day which is a pain. However if you did pedestrianise Sydenham Ro...

It's not snobby or middle-class to want a nice pub in an area you live in. Sydenham is not as bad as some posts make out - i've lived in loads of different areas in London and most are a mixture of so-called 'dodgy' and 'nice' areas.... Sydenham is a good mix of different types of people. I reckon i...

Ah lots of posts about Dulwich vs Sydenham - I too am an ex-Dulwich girl moved to Sydenham for a more reasonably priced flat and good transport access. Only been here a week so not yet tried out the pubs... Which one should I try first? Which one is best for a quiet drink? Which one best for footbal...
