I have passed this on to my friend Dave who lives in Camberwell as he is an experienced free lance graphic designer who is interested and he said he would contact you.

Re: Perry Rise/Perry Hill Buses

Hi there From there, you are most definitely better getting the train from Lower Sydenham - it's about a 10-15 minute walk, you don't have to rely on buses and it goes direct to Charing Cross in 23 minutes (doesn't stop at London Bridge, although it does stop at Waterloo East) or to Cannon Street wh...

Re: Fouling dogs

Actually for me, one of the reasons I would not like dog-poo in my bin is that I have the teensiest front garden and my bin ends up outside one of my front windows and right by the path and front door. And if we ever get a summer full of hot weather again, the smell could end up in my sitting room! ...

Re: Things to do in and around Sydenham

If you are walking past the old Naborhood centre with a lady of child , essential they where ear plugs. Sorry but don't understand your exact meaning, but assume you meant the the centre is noisy for some reason, but only women and children would hear it to be affected by it? Assume men won't be ab...

Mike - so sorry to hear about this and hope something comes out of the police actions.

Simon - like Robin, I totally agree with your second paragraph and I just don't post on here much or read certain things, as my time is too limited to have to read the Daily Mail in another form :)

I too need someone to do some small jobs (runner come off kitchen cabinet drawer, drawers collapsing, curtain rail falling off as wood on window frame is rotten) and if anyone could recommend a handyman, I'd be very grateful! Many thanks

Re: How's the commute?

Personally, I have stopped using the service altogether. I tried it for a while, but found the tube no help to me at all, and the reduced services through London Bridge made the journey awful. My usual journey now is from Penge East to St Pancras and I find it almost completely stress free (and I ne...

Anyone get train from Penge East to St Pancras??

I'm investigating many routes to try and reduce my travelling time, and I wondered if anyone uses the Penge East to St Pancras route in the mornings? What I'm really interested in is if you can get a seat on the 7.49 or the 8.04 train please? I'm getting too old to stand any more :) Would be really ...

You could always do 15 minutes to Canada Water, then nip on the Jubilee Line to London Bridge - that will take under 7 minutes in total. Or Whitechapel for the District Line folk. So if the next train at Sydenham is a Overground, get it, it'll be quicker. Thanks for the advice, and I will look at i...

Totally recommend it, although I dont think its going to affect my daily grind into work, the 0740 to London Bridge is still a much easier journey for central London. Well it might do, as the 07:40 is now the 07:39! Just had a look at the new timtable for the LBG trains (new line is useless for me ...

Oh I wondered where he had gone - that's a nice thing to do! I spotted him last night on my way home at around 6.25pm, and he was in the middle of the road. With the help of someone in a car who stopped, he was moved to the pavement. At that point, he was still warm, but definitely not alive, and we...
