Wooden Decking
Hello Mr G. (Thanks Leaf & Annie for the recommendation) I don't think it would hurt to leave your decking until at least May '07. Firstly it may become freezing, raining and damp half way through your project. When preparing the wood prior to treatment it's best if the timber is totally dry. If...

Bus Drivers & Carrier bags
Hello Hombre Queso Yes you're quite right, people who have their mobile phones blasting out non-audible rubbish at full volume are normally youngish kids showing off their latest toys. You feel it's annoying, but they don't care because they want to annoy people...After all it doesn't sound good and...

Hello Megz
Hello & Welcome! I've sent you a Personal Message with my telephone number as this is far to complicated to guess over the www. Hopefully I can be more helpful by having a look for you. It could as you say be a leaky roof or burst pipes, but it's too easy to simply make wild guesses. It may even...

Hello
Hello Sorry I've not replied to anyone recently, I've been away from my PC as it had developed a virus....It seems to be fixed now. Luckily others such as Illuminance and Stone-Penge have answered questions well...Probably better than I would have. Anne-Marie, I would not have thought you'd have a p...

Lemonade Did you ask the occupiers of the house (the non-spirit ones) if they'd ever seen anything unusual? Hello Juwlz No, for fear of ridicule I didn't mention a word to anyone. OK call me chicken, but I hope for some extra work from the house owner and any mention of a ghost may lessen my chances.

Neon Transformer
Hello Illuminance Sorry I can't be of much help to you. I've looked on ebay but only to find 1 seller in USA who is selling their 120v version. I've looked within other places on the net, but I've had little luck. All I can suggest is if you contact a neon sign manufacturer, they may be able to poin...

Hello Leaf and anyone else interested I'm really sticking my neck out here !!! Supposing you went to someone's house, a person you didn't really know very well, someone you were working for as an example. But you saw something in the corner of your eye on a few occasions... Washing Machine
Hello Leaf
10 years is a very good lifespan for a washing machine, so you've probably made the best decision to get a new one.
Like most domestic appliances, 7 years is an average life so you've done well.
Why can't there be a decent automatic ironing machine eh? That would be something!

Walkabout
Hello
Thanks for letting me tag along. Unfortunately I can't make it this weekend as I'm working...I'm very busy with work at the moment, mind you Christmas is coming and I need the extra dosh!
But I'll be up for it as soon as my work schedule slackens.
I'll be in touch as soon as I know I'm free.

Very Interesting Pictures
Hello
I'm really amazed by the tunnel photos. I've keenly viewed all the photos taken on all the walkabouts, but the tunnel pics are really something else.
Perhaps I could hitch up for one of your walkabouts in future? (That's if it's open to non-sydenhamites)

Tyre Rolling
Hello ChrisF How fantastic! Your tyre rolling competition sounds superb providing there are no obstructions for those tyres to hit, injure or kill along their way down Sydenham Rise. ...Or will the road be cleared, safety barriers erected and the entire road closed by police for the event? 2.00am is...

Boiler Problems
Hello Waterloo
Check the main stat situated within the boiler itself - Normally found under the controls cover or within the lower front facia. It is usually a rotary dial. Turn the internal stat up to max and see if there is a significant difference
Try this and let me know

TRV's
Hello Tony Yes TRV's are a direct replacement of standard radiator valves. There are many versions of TRV's, however you can get many TRV's which offer a bi-directional flow capability. Bi-directional valves are normally better than one way types. They are more accurite by use of a wax sensor instea...
