At least two blocks of flats along Kirkdale, one of which is pictured, are absolutely appalling. They don't even seem very occupied. Can any of the Sydenham councillors enlighten us on how such eyesores where granted permission? I am pretty sure at least one of them has gone up in the past four year...

If the Sydenham Road improvement scheme is now delayed until next year can the council, please, please, please do something about that junction? greenscene@lewisham.gov.uk are involved in planting trees in residential streets. I intend to email them too.

Also, you can request a tree outside your house from them, if you want.

That part of Sydenham Road really is a disgrace. I can't think of anywhere else in the borough which looks as run down.

I think a lot of pressure is the only way it can be improved....

Do Co-Op own the pavement too? Those trollies lined up outside look awful, and a tad ambitious! Do they really think they will need that many. There don't seem to be any planned for the north side of the high street, and none outside Co-op (formally Somerfield) which has a huge expanse of pavement!!!
