Hi admin
Just tried to pm someone and it looks like I want to post a reply on a thread. Am I missing something?
Thanks

Re: WHAT IF no 13: BILLINGS Fishmongers & butchers
Really happy Lee one of your ideas is finally being put into practice. Well done all of you! I just had one question. From the picture it looks like the shutter is solid. Is that so you can put the name across the front? Sugarhill have one which, I think, is solid about half way up and then chain-li...

Re: Kirkdale/Dartmouth Road New builds
At least two blocks of flats along Kirkdale, one of which is pictured, are absolutely appalling. They don't even seem very occupied. Can any of the Sydenham councillors enlighten us on how such eyesores where granted permission? I am pretty sure at least one of them has gone up in the past four year...

traffic lights at Newlands Park
If the Sydenham Road improvement scheme is now delayed until next year can the council, please, please, please do something about that junction? It is incredibly dangerous as there is no pedestrian priority. You take your life and children's lives in your hands every time you cross!!! I really don't...

Ronski, ian.plowright@lewisham.org.uk , is one of the officers involved in the regen scheme.
greenscene@lewisham.gov.uk are involved in planting trees in residential streets. I intend to email them too.
Also, you can request a tree outside your house from them, if you want.

Do Co-Op own the pavement too? Those trollies lined up outside look awful, and a tad ambitious! Do they really think they will need that many. Surely they can't be allowed to do that if they do not own the land?? Outside Co-Op, along Sydenham Road is a perfect spot for six or seven trees, the paveme...

Thanks for this Lee. It does make it easier. Just depressing that there are only 18 trees planned along the high street to Mayow Road (excluding the squares at Queensthorpe and Venner). I had a quick count of the number of trees along Lordship Lane the other day, and on just one side, from the polic...

How did Deptford get regen money?
I am pretty sure Deptford high street, or the bit of Deptford that lines the A2 anyway, has had a face lift recently. From memory a lot of the buildings above the shops have been revamped. A part of Sydenham Road which desperately needs this treatment is on the corner of Kent House Road, towards the...
Just a thought Kente, if you read this, have you thought of making it more obvious that there is an outside eating area? Forgive me if I missed something, but I thing a notice of some kind may draw more people in, during this lovely weather especially. If I remember you used to be able to see throug...

Lee, there used to an art supplies shop here a few years ago. I think it was near Lidl. I came over from Forest Hill a couple of times to look for things. The stationers next to Somerfield does have some supplies at the back, but it could be much better organised in there. They even have some nice g...

I am so glad Chris Best is finally listening now about the need to improve the appearance of the library. It's only fair it gets some investment, afterall! The park also needs much better planting to make it look more attractive and the large expanse of concrete next to the play area is also very of...

This makes depressing reading... I haven't got time to look up all those websites to see what the evidence is based on, but from a quick glance it seems that at least part of it is based on whether you have a local theatre, which shows non-mainstream performances. If Lewisham council is using this s...

I really think what Lee and the Friends of Home Park are doing are great, but I also think making the library more welcoming could play a really positive role in improving the use of the park and overall feel of the area down there. I asked Chris Best years ago if something could be done with the li...

I agree Charlie and Pip. I think it was a missed opportunity for Sydenham. Unfortunately we are left with the same group of people who seem happy with our current town centre and its manager, who seems to have no long-term vision, and a group of councillors who push through things like the mosaic id...
