Agreed, nice post Hannabat.
That's 2 days in a row I haven't seen the coffee man. I really hope he hasn't been put off by 1 unpleasant person.

He doesn't hassle. If you don't want to hear him then just walk up the platform a bit.
He cheers me up.

Re: I LOVE TIM LUND
I just picked my first five strawberries of the years too. Noms. Also have potatoes, garlic, tomatoes, courgettes, peppers, one cucumber plant (this year's experiment!) and loads of different herbs growing. Only started gardening a few years ago, but it has soon become an obsession. I agree that the...

Re: Going over old ground - The Hound that is Grey
Anyone else think Tim and Lee should be placed in some kind of sinbin where they can't interact or mention each other for a couple of days? On the greyhound my view is let's do what we can to encourage them to get on with rebuilding it, search for a tenant and have a pub, for goodness sake. W...

Re: Windmill pub becoming a sainsburys?
I'm also with Dan and Tim. It is a building of no historical relevance or aesthetic value; together with the fried chicken shop and the betting shop opposite it creates an area where people hang around outside at night - which makes me feel a little threatened tbh. It looks dreadful from outside; I'...

Re: second pedestrian light by Sydenham station
Have a look at the plans on the Council website. Should give you an idea of what the end state will be. Frankly if it slows traffic down and discourages the volume of through traffic that we currently suffer then I'm very much in favour. What alternative routes are there? The south circular - with ...

Re: Windmill pub becoming a sainsburys?
Personally I would prefer to have virtually anything there instead of the Windmill. Does seem an odd decision by sainsburys given the other stores so close. But tesco deserve a bit of competition on Kirkdale. What else would people like there? I wouldn't want another restaurant because I worry about...

I agree, Rachael.
On a more positive note, the quality of the products at the bakery really seems to be settling down: at the weekend I bought a couple of bread rolls and they were absolutely delicious.

Re: Bonfires
Thought that was probably the case, but felt the need to vent. I'm also worried that the ivy they're pulling down and burning usually has loads of birds nests in at this time of year.
