Have you thought of going to Battersea dogs home and seeing the dogs there? The staff are very knowlegable about the animals that they have. I think that dogs that are a mixture of breeds are sometimes nicer dogs than 'pure' bred dogs and are less temperamental and generally healthier.

I have only lived in Sydenham for a few months but I love it. I like the variety of housing and people and I love the parks and woodland. It seems to me that there is more of a sense of community here than other areas of London that I have lived in.

Ok, fair enough. A fast food shop could be quite handy, so If it has to be food, then any other kind of food other than fried chicken, maybe a kebab shop or another fish and chip shop or a cafe. When I say kids I am mostly talking about teenagers. They are usually the main customers of fried chicken shops – they certainly have enough money to buy the food there - if not then I expect the whole enterprise will go down the drain rapidly.
